Jaune POV

After being lifted back up I receive a punch to my face and I'm back flat on my butt on the ground funny enough can't say I regret not throwing it

Cardin: "You know that wasn't very smart Jauney-boy"

Jaune: "I'd rather get beat up by you than get beat up by Y/N honestly"

This causes Cardin the snarl at me and with a smirk he says

Cardin: "I'm gonna make sure they send you back to mommy in teeny tiny pieces"

Jaune: "I don't care what you do to me, you will not mess with my friends"

Cardin: "You think talk like that makes you tough?! You think your a man now?!"

And don't reply but smile at him dazed and as I brace for the impact of his fist it doesn't come in fact he drops me holding his fist.

I look at my hands and all I can think is: "What was that?" but right after that I'm kicked in back

Cardin: "Let's see how much of a man you really are--"

He's caught off the the growl of a Ursa which walks out of the forest and stands face to face with Cardin his team begins to panic and run away and not even a minute later Cardin gets slapped away

Y/N POV

Y/N: "Jump Ruby! Jump!"

I laugh as I hold my younger sisters jar above her head as she struggles to reach it messing with her his fun and the best part about it? There is absolutely no consequences for doing it--

Instantly I feel a pain in my shin and I drop her jar and she catches it

Y/N: "Ruby! The FUCK"

I hold my shin and rub it getting a giggle out of Pyrrha; funny enough we haven't even looked at each other since we almost kissed. So I guess that's something. Also getting laughter from our surrounding friends

Ruby: "That's what you get! You should've just--"

A loud roar coming from behind us cuts her off and we all take turns exchanging looks before Ruby finally speaks

Ruby: "Did you guys hear that?"

Y/N: "Ruby, I felt that"

Right after Cardin's bumass team runs out from the forest screaming "Ursa Ursa Ursa!" before running into Yang she grabs him asking "What, where?" and he tells us back there and it's apperrantly got Cardin

Y/N: "Y'know all I heard was that we DON'T have to go back there"

Yang: "Y/N"

Pyrrha: "Jaune!"

'Just my fucking luck huh? The day Cardin is about to get eaten is the day Jaune is with him' I sigh and huff before turning my head away from everyone

Ruby: "Blake, Yang go get Professor Goodwitch"

Pyrrha: "You two, Go with them there could be more"
