"Friends"

Most people have that someone

They tell everything to

And for me, just so happens

This someone was you

We helped eachother through everything

Through thick and through thin

And I knew as long as we were friends

I would always win

No matter what

You were never mad

Or yelled like all the rest

When I was sad, you made me laugh

Or let me cry onto your chest

But now you've left

Things have changed

And you are no longer here

But soon you'll find

We've had this coming

For almost an entire year

We haven't talked like we used to

Since you moved away

And I'm fairly sure

I'm the only one that's seen

That you've lost your way

You become what you promised

That you never would

You've turned back into a mirror

I've tried to help

Just like you asked

But I've really just disappeared

You've made new friends

And I am glad

But you've forgotten your old ones as well

No matter how hard I try

I think I should just say good bye

Because you are too far gone

We used to have a plan

And used to be so close

But even though I know I'm to blame

No matter how hard I try

Our friendship will never be the same

I've found my path and you've found yours

Now I think it's time for us to part

Because we now "friends"

And that is the worst thing

That could've happened in the end

While you continue your downward spiral

Or maybe come back to reality

If you want to start over

We're all here for you

Don't consider "fitting in" a necessity
