Chapter 24| Bowling

Shruti:"Well I am happy you moved on. You deserved better Ahana."(As Ahana was about to reply, Neil's phone rang. It was a timer.)

Neil:"Ahana we should go the kids would be reaching anytime"

Ahana:"yeah"(Turning to her friend)" give me ur number I'll call u later we should catch up"

They exchanged numbers before everyone headed their own way. As Ahana and Neil started their journey back to school. As he parked the car in the school parking area he saw few other cars parked. The Bus had still not came so they stayed seated in the Car. All this while in thing was bugging Ahana alot which was noticed by Neil. Neil tapped Ahana out of her thoughts.

Ahana:"what happened?"(looking at him)

Neil:"You tell me. Where are u lost?"

Ahana:"Idk Neil this maybe stupid but Shruti's words are disturbing me"

Neil:"Why what happened "

Ahana:"She said that I deserved better and it's good I moved on?. "

Neil:"So..I mean many people have said that to me when I agreed to marry u. They wanted to tell me that remarrying is better then being alone"

Ahana:"Yes Neil this would make since if she knew what happened ,but she didn't. No one knows what happened  except for family members and friends who live here. I didn't even tell this to any of Rajeev's or my old friend. Mumma and Papa didn't want me to. I don't get how she knew about it. And why didn't she question me being married to you when she herself was in my first marriage. I haven't met or talked to her since Ansh's birth. I am just so confused "

Neil:"Maybe Prabha maa aur Papa told them aur she heard it from others. News like these can travel over seas in just seconds nowadays "

Ahana:"Your right I am probably overthinking this"(Just Then the bus pulled up into the school. Everyone got out of their car as the kids came out of the bus. Ahana and Neil stood by the bus area waiting for their kids to come out when they saw Ansh comeout first with Naira and Aryan following him. They ran towards their parents with a big smile on their face and a heavy backpack on their back.

Ahana:"ah my baby"(She said picking Aryan up in her hands as she saw Naira and Ansh hugging Neil who sat on his knees.)

Naira:(As Ahana kept Aryan down )"Mumma you know how much fun we had today"

Ahana:"How much"

Naira:"thisss mucchh"(She said extending her hands)

Ahana:"Accha and how much did you miss mumma and papa"

Naira:"Thisss mucchhhhhhhh"(She said extending her hands further almost falling back due to the weight of her body only to stabilized by Ahana who laughed at her cuteness )

Ahana:"aww my baby "(She said kissing her cheeks )

Neil:"Princess give me you back or you will fall down"(Neil took the bag of the kids while they walked back to the car. As the kids settled down in the back, Neil started to drive back home while the kids told the events of the day.)

Aryan:"Mumma Papa what did you do all day"

Neil:"Well we missed our babies the whole day"(He said in a childish voice making Ahana giggle)

Everyone was so perfect at the moment that no one could have guessed of the upcoming storm coming in their lifes.

As they reached home Naira was very sleepy due to the tiredness while the boys were still damn active. Ahana wonders how they have this much energy after such a long trip. But I think more then energy if was the excitement for sharing their day with their brothers and Grandparents.

As they entered the house around 7:30 everyone was doing their own work. Ahana changed the kids clothes. The boys rushed outside to tell everyone what happened today, While Naira was very dull and and tired. Everyone gathered in the dinning table.

Ahana:(after serving everyone )"Naira come here."(She picked her up and settled her on her lap. Naira rested her head on her shoulder with her eyes droopy as Ahana feed her carefull )

Angeli:"Poor baby, she much be so tired of the trip"

Ahana:"Yes maa, I'll just feed her and send her to bed right way.(Turning to Aryan and Ansh)"And you two munchkins also eat fast then you have to sleep early. "

After dinner Ahana made the kids fall asleep before joining the girls gang in the kitchen with cleaning. After cleaning everyone came in the hall and settled down.

Neil:"Sid did u manage the meeting today how did it go"

Sid:"it went great we got the deal"

Neil:"Great."

Preeti:"so Bhaiya Bhabhi how was ur day"(With a teasing smile )

Ahana:"It was good"

Shruti:"Only good? It was your first date common be more specific "

Ahana:"It wasn't a date Bhabhi. We just decided to spend time outside instead of at home or at work because it would divert our mind from  the kids being so far away."

Neil:"and it worked. That's all"

Angali:"Okay what did u do?"

Neil:"Mom common "

Angali:"I am just asking "

Neil:"We watched a movie and eat lunch outside then went bowling are u happy now"

Sid:"That's what a date is bhai. "(Neil rolled his eyes)

Shruti:"Wait you went bowling ?!"(She asked shocked )

Ahana:"Yeah?"(She answered confused as to the shock that came upon everyone)

Angali:(Who recovered soon and smiled)"Nothing beta. Anyways you both go rest you maybe tired"

Neil:"Yeah I am damn tired"(He said before leaving to his room soon to be followed by Ahana)

Rohan:"Mom Neil went bowling after years he.."

Angali:"Yeah. I know "

Sid:"but how..I mean after  Aarti bhabhi's death he quit bowling. It was his favorite but because bowling reminded him of Aarti Bhabhi he quit it. Me and Rohan Bhaiya tired for years to get him to go. He doesn't even take the kids when they want to go, he always has us take them and now he went bowling!"

Rohan:"its shocking"

Rahul:"Not it's not. It's just love."

Angali:"Weather or not Neil accepts it, He has already given Ahana a special place in his hearts. In these 5 months she has become more then just a mother to his kids . Though he is yet to realize it"
