Chapter 4| Park

Neil and Ahana were headed to a ice cream stall near a park. The kids were very excited and Neil and Ahana were happy seeing their kids happy. Soon Neil parked in the Park parking lot.

Ansh:"mumma icecream..."(he said running towards the stall)

Ahana:"slowly Ansh"

Neil:"bhaiya 2 choco chip ice cream and 1 vanilla and...(he said looking at Ahana)

Ahana:"bhaiya make that 2 vanilla ice cream and 1 Mango popsicle "

Ice cream man:"here you go"(he said as he gave the ice creams to Neil and Ahana )

Neil:(giving the cone to Naira )"careful baby don't drop it"

Everyone was busy eating their ice cream when Ahana see that 2 kids who were running towards the ice cream stall are about to run into Naira.

Ahana:"Naira careful "(she says as she tries to pull Naira towards her but before she can the kids bump into her causing her to fall)

Neil:(making Naira stand up )"are you okay baby"

Naira:(With tears in her eyes)"my hand"(Ahana and Neil look to see red scratches on her hands)

The other to kids:"We are sorry Aunty Uncle we didn't see her. we are really sorry "(they said frighten )

Ahana:"Heyy it's okay kids just be careful next time"(the kids nodded and ran off)

Ansh:(seeing Naira crying and Aryan and Neil next to her consoling her)"mumma, give Naira a kissy then her pain will go away like mine did in the car"( turning to Naira)"You know mumma's kissy can make your pain go away"

Naira:"really"(she asked cutely)

Ahana:"yeah really. Come here"(Naira came towards Ahana as Ahana picked Naira up in her arms)"So where did my princess get hurt"

Naira:"here"(naira pointed towards her elbow )

Ahana:"ohhh okay so one magical mumma kissy coming right away"(She said as she kissed her elbow )"Soo Naira should I tell you a secret"(Naira nodded)

Ansh:"What secret mumma"

Ahana:"its a girls secret Ansh Only us Girls can know"

Ansh:"but I want to know a secret too mumma"(he said sadly )

Neil:(came to Ahana rescue )"Well no problem Ansh. If these girls can have a secret then we boy can have our own what say Aryan"

Aryan:"yes dad."

Ansh:"Yes mumma see we have our own secret"

Ahana:(smiles)"Yeah I see that"

Naira:"Papa can we go on the slides"(She asked as she pointed at the playground)

Neil:"Yeah let's go"(They all headed in the playground area)

First the kids sat on swings with Neil and Ahana pushing Ansh and Naira while Aryan swings himself. Later as per Naira demand the kids went on slides. The kids had great fun at the park with Ahana and Neil. But now it was dark and time to head home.

In Car...

Naira:"that was so kuch fun"

Aryan:"papa where are we going now"

Neil:"baby we are gonna drop Ansh and ur mumma at their house"

Naira:"but why? Mumma should live with us right"

Ansh:"yes mumma I want to stay with papa"

Ahana:" Ansh Naira not now but soon I promise"

Naira:"why not now mumma"

Neil:"Naira they have to do packing right so packing their room takes time when they finish they will move with us"

Naira:"But"

Neil:(sternly )"now no more questions "(Hearing his voice Naira became quite. Soon they reached Ahana's house)

Ahana:(getting out the car and opening the backseat door)"Common Ansh say bye to everyone "

Ansh:"Bye papa bye Naira bye Aryan"

Neil:(who also got out of the car )"bye beta"(he says as he kissed Ansh's cheeks)

Ahana:(smiling at Aryan and Naira)"bye naira Aryan"

Naira:" bye bye"(she said cutely )

Aryan:"Bye"( he said quietly which was noticed by both Ahana and Neil. Ahana slightly smiled at Neil before holding Ansh hands and taking him inside. As Ahana reaches her front door she turn to see Neil settling in his car. He looks last time at her direction before heading out )

Ansh:" Dadiiiiiiii"( he yells coming in)

Prabha:"Oh my cutie is here"(hugs Ansh)"How was ur day "

Ansh:"Amazing dadiii. U know I got a new papa today. He is soo cool and the best papa in the world "

Prabha:(Seeing Ahana)"Oh really. ( Ansh nodded excitedly )" okay now common get changed I will serve ur food go go"(Ansh runs into his room )

Ahana:"Maa I am full. Can u feed Ansh today"

Prabha:"What happened beta"

Ahana:"nothing maa"(They sat on the couch and Ahana kept her head on prabha's lap)

Prabha:"beta we were discussing about ur and Neil's marriage and we asked our Priest he said he has picked 2 dates he feels is best for ur marriage.(Ahana hummed) "He said that after 2 weeks there is a date if not then after 5 months. You and Neil talk about it and let us know"

Ahana:"Maa I am scared "

Prabha:"Why beta"

Ahana:"maa I saw how Neil took care of Ansh today. He is also marrying me for the kids and I am sure he will truly be a great father to Ansh but me. Can I give a mothers love to Aryan and Naira. Maa u know Naira is so small I am sure she doesn't even remember her mother like Ansh but Aryan. Today also Naira got attached to me easily but Aryan was very distant and quiet. Will I be able to make him accept me .Will I be able to become his mother?"

Prabha:"Ahana I can understand ur fear but I also know you. And trust me when I say my daughter is the best and I know she will take care of everything really soon. And talking of Aryan, he needs time. Now days kids are scared of step mothers. But I know u will prove the world wrong. There might be many stories about bad stepmothers but remember u have to become their mother not stepmother."

Ahana:(getting up from her lap)"you really think I will be able handle everything "

Prabha:"I know Ahana you will handle everything."

Ahana:"Thank you maa. I feel a little relaxed now"(she said before heading to her room)

Prabha:(to herself )"I know Ahana that u and Neil will be great parents to the kids. But I truly feel You guys will even be able to mend each other lifes and find yourselves a great future"
