Chapter 78 | The meeting

The time passed by very slowly for Ahana and Neil. Nervousness filled their stomachs as they waited. Ahana wanted to get over with this meeting as soon as possible.

As the time came, Ahana and Neil headed to a park area with Ansh, Where they had decided to meet. Though the officer had suggested a more closed and isolated room, Neil didn't want to scare Ansh in any way. He remembered how much Aryan was scared after the kidnapping incident. He couldn't take a chance with Ansh on it as well.

As they reached the park, Neil and Ahana met 2 officers at the entrance. They greeted them before the officer lead them to the isolated area of the park away from other poeple and kids. Ansh had started to get a little scared seeing so many police officer present.

Officer:"It's ready Sir. We have everything prepared for today"( he said as he saw Neil)

Neil:"Okay.. just give us a moment "( He asked as he turned to Ahana and Ansh)

Ahana looked at Neil nervously as she gave him a soft smile before Neil looked at Ansh who was looking at the police officer with a slight fearful look.

Neil:"Hey buddy"(He said as he sat down)"Remember our conversation last night. Never fear anything because fear itself is scared of braveness "( Ansh nodded as he looked at Neil)"So...these police uncles will take us to Rajeev. You just have to meet them and if you want to leave tell me we will leave right away. No need to be scared or think of anything anyone says. Just think of it as a game. In the end you have to win and you will win so just stay calm and happy "

Ansh nodded as Ahana kept her hand on his head letting him know that she is also there for him. The 3 soon headed further in. They came to a stop by a tree where a bench was kept. As they came into the view, Rajeev was shown sitting on the bench with handcuffs in his hands and 2 cops standing to the left and right of him.

Rajeev looked up hearing footsteps. Neil came in his view before Ansh and Ahana. He took a deep breath looking at Ansh.

Ahana hands gripped onto Ansh's shoulders pulling him closer as her fear started to come back. Neil kept his hands on her arms trying to calm her. She looked at him with hopeless eyes while he blink his eyes in reassurance.

Rajeev:"Ansh...c..come here"

Ansh looked up at his parents, Neil blinked his eyes asking him to go forward while Ahana's hand gripped Neil's as he took her into a side hug comforting her a little. Ansh moved forward a little, still at safe distance as Rajeev smiled at him.

Rajeev:"A..Ansh...yo..you know who I am beta.."

Ansh looked back at Neil and Ahana before he turned to Rajeev. He nodded his head slowly before looking down.

Rajeev:"You do? I...I...Well I don't know what you know or think of me but beta I...I am sorry. You won't even understand at this point what i mean but i am truly sorry."

Ansh didn't say anything and just kept looking down. Rajeev looked at Ansh then at Ahana and Neil. He gave a sad laugh as he spoke further.

Rajeev:"I know how this situation must be for you all. Especially Ahana. I am still surprised you allowed me to meet Ansh. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Truly Ahana, I needed to see my son for the last time"

Officer:"2 more mins, say whatever you want."( He warned Rajeev of the time.)

Rajeev:"I guess I should get to the point."

As these words leave Rajeev's lips, everyone looked confused. In a swift motion, Rajeev's cuffed hands grabbed onto the officer near by taking his gun and pointing it at him as Rajeev cuff fell on the ground effortlessly.
