lay me down on the lush green meadow,
when the distance between us gets narrow.

the way you look straight into my eyes,
and have me believing in all your beautiful lies.

lay me down on the seashore,
when the waves try to silence our beating cores.

swing me around in between the sweet peas,
when our silly selves try to run from the buzzing bees.

lay me down in my sleep,
and promise to guard the little secrets I keep.

have I not fallen hard for you all this time?
that each step I take brings yours closer to mine.

lay me down under the ancient willow,
where the nightingales sing us a hymn so mellow.

hold my hand as we cross the bridge with fire underneath,
because with you comes swirling a great courage in me.

lay me down beside you as we stargaze at night,
see how the moon & stars find their long lost light.

o' my one and only Jack of hearts!
how your tender love turned me into a Queen of hearts.

lay me down on that love boat to Venice,
as we forget about the world for an instance.

stand by me on the hilltop as we yell out our confessions,
and then hear it echoing,
all the way back to us.

lay me down near the fireplace on your right,
and look how the fire you started in my heart lit like.

play me my favourite symphonies with your cello,
and watch me baffled,
dancing to it real slow.

lay me down in between the thorns and ferns,
and see how your roses blossom from my cuts.

wish I could shake you off my head for like forever,
though can't help it,
but be held captive of this lover.

lay me down when I'm hurt and bruised,
but worry not as with you,
my pain perished and swooshed.

them pretty smiles I couldn't get enough of,
those intimidating stares I couldn't get away from.

lay me down, bedazzled by the mystical auroras in north,
my head warmly resting on your shoulder,
while we impatiently wait for the dawn.

isn't it fair enough to call me a coy?
despite the barriers being broken,
I still choose to see you through that veil, boy!

lay me down on the altar if I'd ever be found disloyal,
look how this sweet sacrifice would mark,
our imperfect love so royal.

there's no museum complete without an art like you,
can those portraits even compare to the one?
from whom I unknowingly got wooed.

lay me down in my grave with your hands alone,
as my name will end with yours on the gravestone.

love isn't defined by some arrogance or greed,
but a true emotion from which you choose to lead,
yet openly accept being brought down onto your knees.
