Chapter Thirty-Nine, Prom Part 1

~Momoko's P.O.V~

"No way... You guys got a limo?", kaoru asked. "Yep.. Borrowed it from the mayor", butch said. "How the hell did you guys pull that off?", kaoru asked. "Yeah the mayor loves his limo. He is very protective over it", miyako said. "We smooth talked him into it... With ms. Bellum's help of course", brick said. "Ms. Bellum can talk him into anything", miyako said as she smiled. "That's because he likes her", I said. "Eww.. The mayor is to old for her", kaoru said. "Come on kaoru.. Age is just a number.. Love can happen to any one at any age", I said. "Okay what if it was like a forty year old guy and a fifteen year old girl", kaoru asked trying to prove me wrong. "Well then that's just creepy and weird", I said. "Kaoru, I think she was referring to adults you know?", boomer said. "I know I was just messing with her", kaoru said as she smirked. "Come on guys", butch said as he smiled and opened the limo's door. "That's weird..", kaoru said. "What?", butch asked. "You opened the door for us.. Maybe you do have manners", kaoru said. "You wish.. I was opening the door for me so step aside", butch said jokingly as he gave kaoru a playful shove. Kaoru shoved butch back as she rolled her eyes and laughed. "Okay seriously get in kaoru or I'm gonna push you in", butch said. "Yeah right", kaoru said as she smiled. "Wanna bet?", butch asked playfully. "Nah ill just get in", kaoru said as she smiled and got into the limo. Butch smiled as he quickly got in to. Miyako and boomer quickly got in. I quickly got in and brick came in after me. Once the door was closed the limo started to move. "I'm so excited", miyako said as she smiled. "I am to", boomer said as he took miyako's hand and held it in his. "This is the last school dance we will ever attend", miyako said. "So lets make the best of it", boomer said as he smiled. "Graduation is next week.. I hear grace winters is throwing a huge graduation party. Any one is aloud to go", butch said. "So are we all going?", kaoru asked. "I think we should.. This will be the last time we see some of these people. Every one is going to be going there own way after this summer", brick said. "Bricks right. Every one is gonna go off traveling or off to get married and start a family or even college", I said. "So... What is our plans.. We're all going our separate ways right?", kaoru asked with a sincere sad tone. "Yeah..", I said sadly. "We all knew this day would come eventually", brick said. "We all... Well you four have made plans. Miyako and boomer are going to Milan and kaoru and butch are gonna go off to a college that offers a great sports program", I said. "That's the plan", kaoru said. "I actually forgot about Milan", miyako said. "Me to", boomer said. "Do you still want to go?", miyako asked. "Of course! Miya it's your dream to have your own clothing line", boomer said. "I know.. I'm just really gonna miss this place.. And all of you", miyako said. "Hey no worries. It's not like this is the end. We're all gonna go off and do great things. Once we're done we're all gonna come back here and live our lives. The only thing different will be that people here will be wearing clothes you designed and kaoru and butch will be signing random sports fans jerseys", I said as I smiled. "She is right.. And there is alway summer vacation to spend together", brick said as he smiled. "So what are you guys gonna do?", butch asked. Brick and I looked at each other trying to figure out what to say. "We have all summer to decide", brick said softly. "What.. What if we don't?", I asked. "Well then we will just live our lives like normal", brick said as he smiled reassuringly. "I think you two should go to college", miyako said as she smiled. "That's a good plan but what would we major in?", I said. "Well this might be a dumb idea but I think you two would make great actors", miyako said. "Huh?", brick and I both said. "Yeah she is right. You guys should major in theater", boomer said. "Yeah that's like perfect for you two!", butch said. Maybe there right. "I think we should", I said. "You do?", brick asked. "Brick do you remember the date we went on on my birthday?", I asked. "Yeah we shared a pink cupcake.. I remember", brick said. "We talked about our dreams. You said you wanted to be a movie star. This is the first step", I said. Brick smiled down at me but then his smile went away. "You told me it was your dream to be a super hero.. You said it would be hell to give up your powers and now.. There gone because of me", brick said sadly. "Brick Jojo! Don't you ever feel like that was your fault!", I said sternly as I pointed at brick. Brick seemed shocked by my serious tone of voice. "I made that decision to save the dream I cherished the most. My dream was to be with the one I love and you are infinity times better than having supers powers. It's like you've said before.. Eventually we will not need to use our powers because one day we all will have families to tend to. So eventually I wouldn't use those powers. But I will need you for the rest of my life", I said as I took brick's hand and held it in mine. "Your right", brick said as he smiled. "So the next big thing to decide.. What college should we go to?", I asked. "Should we travel or stay here and go to new Townsville university?", brick asked. "I think we should travel", I said. "I think traveling will be good for you two. You guys could start fresh in a new town until you graduate from college", kaoru said. "Here's a crazy idea.. What if we left Japan?", I asked. "I don't think it's crazy.. Miyako and boomer are going to a different country", brick said. "I think we should go to America", I said. "California?", brick asked. I nodded my head. "I think it's a great idea. We can go to Hollywood and try to find jobs", brick said. "What if we don't find jobs?", I asked. "Of course you guys will find jobs. People at going to be fighting over you guys!", kaoru said. "Kaoru is right. We're all famous world wide. Every one loves the power puff girls and the rowdy ruff boys", butch said. "Any one would kill to have you guys as a client. That's how I know butch and I will get a good sports career because there gonna want people like us", kaoru said. "Just one problem with that. Brick and I are normal people now", I said. "So what? There still gonna want you guys weather you have powers or not. You already have a huge fan base", kaoru said. "Man.. I feel like a serious adult right now.. So much planning", butch said as he smiled. "That's what life is about", kaoru said. "Well I don't know about you guys but I'm excited for the future", boomer said. "Me to.. Who knows what's In store for us", miyako said. "I just hope our families will except our decisions", I said. "My dad will be cool with any thing as long as its sports related", kaoru said. "My grandma supports my decision on going to Milan", miyako said. "My dads gonna flip out when I tell him about leaving Japan", I said. "Luckily for us guys we don't have to worry about that", brick said. "Yeah our dad doesn't care about our decisions", butch said making air quotes when he said dad. "Aww.. Kuriko is going to miss you", miyako said. "I'll be back in the summer to visit", I said. "She has ken now to keep her company", brick said. "Do you think they will still be together after we graduate from college?", kaoru asked. "Who knows? I hope they are though. I know ken would treat her right", I said. "I think they will be together. Kuriko really likes ken and plus ken is to nice to ever do any thing mean to her. So I think ken might be your brother in law one day", miyako said. "This is to weird to think about.. There thirteen", butch said. "So my older cousin married her boyfriend and they started dating in seventh grade. Some people just find there significant other early on in life", miyako said. "Wow... I never even thought I'd find love. I just figured I'd travel and never have time for it", butch said. "Is it your dream to travel?", kaoru asked. "It used to be back when I first became good. After I gave up evil I told myself that once I was eighteen I was going to leave Mojo's and travel as far away from mojo as I could. I didn't have a reason to stay in new Townsville but now I do", butch said as he smiled. Kaoru blushed as she realized she was the reason butch wanted to stay in new Townsville. "Well I guess I'd stay in new Townsville for you to", kaoru said. "Aw", miyako cooed. Kaoru smiled as she rolled her eyes at miyako. Suddenly I could feel the limo come to a stop. "Hey where here", brick said as he looked out the window. "Eeeeeeeeee I can't wait hurry up and get out please!", miyako squealed. "Wow you must be excited. Your never pushy", brick said as he smiled. "Sorry", miyako said as she smiled excitedly. Brick quickly opened the door and stepped out. I slid over to the seat by the door and smiled as I seen bricks hand waiting for me. I quickly took his hand and he helped me out of the limo. We both stepped aside so boomer could get out. I looked around and seen a bunch of other well dressed couples who were just arriving. Every one looked great. The white lights that was hanging in the trees looked beautiful in the evening light. "Aw look at the lights!", miyako said as she smiled. I turned to see that every one was already out of the limo. "So this is a prom", kaoru said as she looked around. "No this is the outside of a prom", brick said. "Okay smart ass", kaoru said. "Alright let's go inside", butch said as brick chuckled at kaoru. We all quickly started to walk to the entrance. I stopped when I seen six familiar people. Once they seen us they smiled and waved at us. It is the punks and tuffs. They kept to there world and walked away after they waved. Maybe they really was serious about not wanting to intervene in our lives. "Did I really just see the punks and tuffs being polite?", brick asked. "Yep.. Hard to believe right?", I said. "Very hard", brick said as he smiled. We stopped as the man at the door greeted us. "Hello. Once your inside give the man on your right your name so he can announce it", the man said. "What why do we need to be announced?", kaoru asked. "It's prom tradition at this school", the man said. "Thank you", miyako said as the man held open the door. We all quickly walked in and seen the man we was supposed to talk to. "Names?", the man asked as we walked over to him. "Miyako gotokuji", miyako said. "Boomer Jojo", boomer said. "Alright go threw that entrance", the man said as he pointed to an open door. Boomer put his arm around miyako's waists as they walked to the entrance. Just as they walked through the door way the man announced there names into a microphone. "Names?", the man asked. "Kaoru Matsubara", kaoru said. "Butch Jojo", butch said. The man nodded his head as they walked to the door way. The man announced there names as the went trough the door way. Surprisingly kaoru let butch put his arm around her waist. "Names?", the man asked. "Momoko Akatsutsumi", I said. "Brick Jojo", brick said. "Hey you six are the ppg and rrb right?", the man asked. "Well those four are", brick said. "Hey I'm really sorry about what happened to you guys but at least your both still alive", the man said as he smiled politely. "It's alright", I said as I smiled. "Go enjoy your night", the man said as he smiled. We both smiled as we walked over to the door way. Brick quickly put his arm around my waist just as we walked through the door. As soon as we walked through the door we was standing under a white arch decorated with purple and black flowers,balloons and lights. Just as we walked out from under the arch a voice boomed over the intercom,"momoko Akatsutsumi and brick Jojo". A few people turned and smiled at us. I looked around and there was tons of table that was either decorated purple or black. The masks we had made hung up on the walls all around the room. It was beautiful. The music played softly and a bunch of couple was dancing in the open floor area. "May I have this dance?", brick asked as he pulled away from he and held out his hand. "Of course", I said as I smiled and took bricks hand. Brick smiled as he led me to the dance floor. Brick put his hands on my waist and I put my hands on the back of his neck. We both swayed to the music. Bricks crimson eyes seemed to sparkle in the dim lighting. "You really do look beautiful", brick said as he smiled. "Well you look very handsome", I said as I smiled back at him. I noticed brick look passed me. He actually looked shocked for a moment. "What?", I asked. "Some how.. Butch got kaoru to dance", brick said. "Really?", I asked as I peeked back to see butch and kaoru dancing. "Aw she looks happy!", I said. "Miya and boom are over there", brick said as he nodded his head in there direction. I looked over at miyako and boomer. They were dancing as well. They both looked so happy. "So are you happy?", brick asked. "No", I said as I smiled. "No?", brick asked as he raised an eyebrow. "I'm in love", I said. "Really now? I hope it's with me", brick said as he smiled. "Of course it's with you", I said. "Good", brick said. I stood on my tippy toes and gave brick a short soft kiss on the lips. After a few seconds brick slowly pulled away so only our foreheads was touching. "I'm in love with you to", brick said softly. After he said that he kissed me again. This time our kiss lasted longer. I didn't care if we stood in this very spot all night. This moment feels so perfect. I don't want it to end.
