"I know, I know."

You were now doing what you best at, cleaning.

Shadis was a bit pissed off at your attitude and forced you to clean everything while the rest of the cadets were outside introducing themselves. It wasn't like you would be missing much.

"Plus what would I even say out there?" You asked yourself while you cleaned the last table in the dining room. Once finished you threw the rags back in the kitchen and took a seat on a table. The one in the back dark corner is the place where people go unnoticed and where you get a good view of what happens.

"Hey I'm (Y/n) (L/n)- would I say my own last name? Or would I use Rivaille since Levi is my bro. Or Smith, since Erwin is now my dad." You started to ponder your identity, "maybe it was good that I didn't go outside."

Taking out your tiny journal you start writing about your newfound existential crisis. Your hand was super slow since your mind was struggling to remember what the symbol meant and how it aligned with the alphabet.

"Man this sucks," you smacked your head onto the table.

The door opened which caused you to perk up immediately. There was a wave of cadets that flooded the hall quickly. Everyone was out of their uniforms and wearing much more comfortable clothes.

Many of them started to mumble, wondering who you were and why you weren't at the orientation.

You simply gave a cold look to everyone in hopes of no one joining your empty table.

Better back off. This is my table. If anyone dares to sit next to me I will kick their ass.

Someone then sat at your table, right in front of you. Looking at them you saw a blonde girl with blue eyes, and a familiar nose shape. She stared right back at you, almost as if staring right through you. Deep into your soul.

Ha, right. I have no soul.

Your stomach churned at the sight of the female titan. Befriending her is the best thing to do, it should still be possible. Right?

"H-Hi," you said shyly, "I'm (Y/n) (L/n)."

That cold look remained in her eyes, "Annie Leonhardt," she then went back to eating.

Sensing an end to a conversation you went back to writing on the tiny paper. This went on for a few minutes until Annie decided to speak.

"Why weren't you at the opening ceremony?"

"Huh?" you looked up with a confused face before realizing what she said, "ah! Mister Shadis asked me to clean everything. We both have already known each other for a while. So he didn't see a point for me to participate." You dropped the pencil and began to fiddle your fingers under the table, "is it okay for us to be friends?"

Her blue eyes widened a little, showing surprise to my question, "you don't have to! I was just-"

"Sure."

It was your turn to be flustered, you didn't really expect her to agree. Then again right now it means nothing, so you have to build some trust. It shouldn't be hard, hopefully.

"Woah! So you saw a titan?!" a voice exclaimed from the other side of the room.

You looked towards the direction to see a group of people huddled up to a table. Looking at a person in awe.

"Yeah, I saw the big one." Standing up you saw it was Eren who was getting all the attention.

The part where Eren talks about his trauma and how he will kill every last one of them.
