"You do know you're going to get sick in these conditions," you heard Annie speak. Turning your head around you see the blonde standing at the porch of the barracks, watching you. "Especially since the sun is setting and it might get windy." She stuffed her hands in her pocket.

You hummed whilst looking at her clothes, she was wearing her white hoodie as always, but also had a blanket wrapped around her. Unlike you, you were wearing just your regular clothes, a shirt and pants to be specific, "I guess, although I really don't want to be inside with that other girl since her bed is super close to mine." You walked up the stairs to stand next to her, you tapped your feet against the floor to get some snow off the bottom of your shoes. "If you want me to go inside I will," you commented.

Her blue eyes simply avoided yours, "tomorrow is our turn for that exercise, it'd be wise to be in top shape."

Leaning against the wall you spoke, "oh yeah, the whole hiking through the mountain thing. Both you and I are in the same group, huh? Who was our third person?" You rubbed your hands together in hopes of creating even the slightest bit of warmth, "Reiner was it?"

"That's right," she replied.

Then there was a silence that filled the cold air. The blonde girl still avoided your gaze and instead focused her attention on the setting sun. It really wasn't until now that you paid more attention to her features and mannerism. Her blue eyes, the way her pale skin easily grew pink with the cold air outside. Not only that but you also thought that her nose was extremely cute.

God, she's so pretty

Your face warmed up at the thought. Letting out a cough you get her attention, "We should head inside, it's getting dark." You moved towards the door, hand on the handle waiting for her response.

Annie simply nodded before tightening the blanket around her smaller form. She walked closer to the entrance. Opening the door you said, "ladies first," to which she only rolled her eyes. After she entered the barracks you followed her, closing the door behind you. Inside was the usual sight. Girls gossiping, others settling themselves to bed, and some trying to keep warm such as Historia cuddling with Ymir. Lastly, there was homophobic bitch reading a thick book about the lore of the walls.

If you were given the chance you'd smack the shit out of her, but no chance has appeared. Such a shame. Truly.

"You can sleep in my bed with me."

"Pardon me," you choked out as you looked down at the blonde as your face started burning.

She simply nodded her head to where the bed was, "so you don't have to deal with her, only if you want to." She moved some of her behind her ear.

"Oh, umm let me get my stuff," walking to your bed you got your blanket and pillow before going to the back of the barrack where her bed was located. Once there you sat at the edge as you held your bedding. "So Uhm, how are we gonna do this?" you gulped.

Was it just two small beds next to each other? Yes, but it has been a long time since you've slept so close to someone. The person who originally had the bed next to yours dropped out within the first week of training. Before that it was with big sis Isabel ... and previous to that it was Jean when his mom somewhat forced you to stay over.

Additionally, what if you kicked her in your sleep? Even worse, what if you started drooling in your sleep? That would be very embarrassing.

Maybe you are just overthinking it.
