In the distance, you saw both Reiner and Eren being yeeted away by Annie. It was honestly amusing. There was also Jean who was acting all cool with a dude named Daz, or at least that's what you think it is. Ymir like always is flirting with our queen. Sasha and Connie were just goofing off, doing some funky martial art moves from movies or something. You were happy that everyone was getting along. That was at least for now. Some would definitively start fighting during lunch or something. Most likely Jean being jealous of Eren's relationship with Mikasa. If memory serves you right, Jean sees him more of a love rival rather than a rival of, you dunno. Being best soldier boy.

You actually still have the original note back at home, they wrote it on a gum wrapper. You weren't gonna lie, you did have a crush on them for a bit. But you were too shy to say anything, which you regretted because after coming to terms with being forever single. They admitted to having feelings for you but it wouldn't matter because they were in a relationship at the time they told you.

"Are you just going to sit there all day or are you actually going to do something?" asked Eren as he gave you a disappointed look.

You shrugged as you stood up and ruined the quote, "Sorry, my partner was Annie, but she didn't care about this training." Eren simply hummed as he looked at the blonde who was just walking around. "Though I should probably be participating if I don't wanna get kicked out." It was then that Reiner placed a hand on Eren's shoulder and commented something.

"This is your chance to prove yourself Eren."

The German boy simply looked up to his friend with a terrified expression, "wait what??"

Reiner handed him a wooden knife and pushed him in your direction. Eren looked back at the muscular for a couple of seconds before taking two awkward steps closer to you. He changed into a fighting position with the knife being held in front of him. It took you a bit to process what was happening.

"Oh, we throwing hands??" you asked with a confused tone as the brown-haired boy ran at you. To counter this you took a step to the side and kept a foot out. Causing him to trip and eat dirt. He rolled onto his back, his green eyes squinting while trying to look at you. "That's kinda sad buddy," you wheeze while holding your stomach. That was until he took a hold onto the closest leg to him, making you fall down onto your bottom. You weren't quite sure what to do now that he held your leg with every limb on his body. But you started rolling.
