Chapter 9

You woke up the next morning a little late compared to usual, but it didn't worry you since many of the other girls woke up late. But you still couldn't but question Mikasas' abs, she only twelve but like okay. She was probably born with them or something, but hey. Who doesn't like a strong woman? Oh wait white straight cis gendered men, they can't handle the fact that a woman is stronger and more attractive than them.

Wonder if I can ask Mikasa what she does for her workout.

"Are you done changing?" Annie's voice interrupted your thoughts.

She was right in front of you, watching how you were staring at a certain girl's abs, "Yeah, let's go!" you commented as you looked away from the asian. Who did not even take notice of your stare? Both you and the titan shifter started walking across the grounds in complete silence, not that it bothered you at all. Annie just wasn't really the type to start a conversation. Unless of course it's to get some sort of information from you. "Wonder what we will do after finishing the whole ODM testing," you piped as you walked with your hands behind your head.

"Who knows."

You hummed at her small response. That was until you remembered a small piece of info you found on the internet all those years ago. "The instructor must be trying to kick out all of those who can't balance and then make us do certain exercises," you commented, getting the girl's attention. Although she showed that she was a little annoyed since you shared the exact same information yesterday. "What I mean is that the ODM all together is at least 126 lb (57 kg). It's pretty heavy if you ask me, so he'll probably give us a week to get used to the weight. After that I'm certain we will commence our training of actually using the gear."

"The weight shouldn't be a problem," she said with a nonchalant voice as she pushed some hair behind her ear. Your mouth simply dropped open at her response not understanding how that much weight wouldn't be a problem.

You wimpy squint your eyes at here and questioned everything, "are you that strong?"

"Yes."

Part of you wanted to laugh at her response but decided not to. Fearing that there was a chance of her smacking your head. You already have very few brain cells so there is no need to lose more at the moment. Unless a desperate moment comes and you have to make yourself be dumber to not be suspicious.

Cough in hopes of not being fucking murdered cough.

"Guess I can't relate then," you told her while looking into her blue eyes.

The rest of the morning was silent between the two of you. That was until the two other titan shifters took a seat in front of the two of you. Guess this is your unassigned assigned seat or table. With these giants, and Annie. Spending time with others will be during training or some other free time.

Reiner awkwardly nudged Bertolt's side as if egging him to say something. But he simply shook his head not wanting to. Thus resulting with the both of them bickering quietly and leaving both of you and Annie quietly watching.

"Just ask her-"

"Reinah, no-"

"It's just a question-"

"I'm not asking her to hold your hand-"

"But I'm shy-"

You saw Reiner fidgeting with his fingers while avoiding eye contact. Sensing Annie's stare you turned to look at her and offered her a shrug. She then looked back at the duo who kept talking amongst each other. Her facial expression showed that she was clearly annoyed.

"I'm going outside," she stood up and left the hall.

"Annie," you cried out while watching her leave, "don't leave me with these two!" Jumping up you chased after the girl leaving the pair to continue their small argument. When stepping out of the building she was out of sight. So you stood there not knowing where to go now. There was still about an hour before the ODM testing resumed. "Now I don't know what to do- Marco is taller than Jean? I did not know that, huh."
