I start to lose track of time after the short guy takes my phone. I mean... It could've been 5 minutes or 5 hours, I was really bad at telling time. All I knew was that it started feeling like 1000 years when the gang's boss arrived.
He let the others leave, & they did without questioning, though a bit hesitantly, as though they knew something bad might happen to me.
The guy entered, & all I could describe him as was cold. He radiated an air of pretentiousness, gray eyes narrowing in on me as I took him in, a long white scar stretching across his pale face, close to his left eye.
I inhaled sharply & the guy grinned maliciously, cackling. "Welcome to my humble abode. I hope my minions made you feel welcome..." I tried to glare in his direction, but ended up flinching. "Though I suppose... It wouldn't be a true welcome if I didn't rough you up a bit, now would it? Make that wolf realize what I could do to you if I wanted to..."
He stepped forward, & I flinched slightly. I would try to forget the next half hour.
Sorry, guys :(. I know this chapter is pretty troubling. Like, Linh, poor baby :(. But don't worry, Ash & his family are coming. Sorry this chapter's so short, it's just that I have another POV change again, so... This is the end of this chapter... Bye :]
Oh, & here's what the gang members look like. You've already seen what Carel looks like from his POV chapter. He's the short guy in the group. There's also the leader, Évrard. He's an absolute asshole, obviously.
