"Eliza, can't you move on from my smile? Kanina ka pa wala sa sarili." Busangot na sabi ni L. His forehead creased, eyebrows furrowed. Halatang naiinis na.

I chuckled. I was smirking as I gobbled up my food.

Kasalukuyan kaming kumakain ni L sa isang known restaurant. Dapat ako talaga ang nili-libre niya pero gusto ko rin naman siyang i-congratulate sa unang araw ng trabaho niya. And currently, tapos na siyang kumain. Ako, hindi pa.

"I can't help it, L. Nasanay akong... masama ang ugali mo." I chortled.

He raised a brow at me. Halatang hindi sang-ayon sa sinabi ko. "I'm not mean."

"Yes you are," I said as a matter of fact. I even made a face na tila ba hindi makapaniwalang tinatanggi niya iyon.

"Sa 'yo lang..." He whispered as he looked away from my gaze.

I pouted my lips. I kept on staring at him and he looked uncomfortable with it. Mahina akong tumawa. "How's your first day at work?"

It looked like my question hooked him dahil muling tumingin sa akin si L. There's this familiar feeling in his eyes.

"G-Good..." He took a sip from the glass full of water. "A lot of girls are ogling at me. But it's fine..."

I looked at him doubtedly. He raised a brow, questioning my why expression was like that. "You're liking it, hmm?"

"Liking what?"

"You know... Girls ogling at you..." I tried settling my point.

He groaned and rolled his eyes. "I can't blame them. I am handsome."

"Whoa, you're confident now." There was a ghost of a smile clinging onto my lips. "It's nice to see you like this, L. Pero ingat dahil baka... sumobra," Natatawa kong sabi.

L frowned at what I said. There was an opposition on his face.

"Why? You don't find me handsome?" He suddenly asked.

Natigilan ako sa pagsubo ng kinakain. My gaze lingered on his face. "Gwapo ka nga, mapungay ang mata, tas maganda boses..."

When I noticed that there was a smirk creeping on to his lips, agad kong dinagdagan ang sinabi ko para matigil ang kung anong ideya na pumapasok sa isip niya.

"PERO, Pero, I know my limits!" Umirap ako.

He shook his head. "I won't mind if you like me though."

"Ikaw ba talaga si L? I mean... Mas matatanggap ko pa kung susungitan niya ako pero itong taong nasa harapan ko... Nasobrahan ba ako ng tulong at suporta sa 'yo?" I kept on doubting him.

Seriously, bakit parang yumayabang yata siya? Me? Like him? Hindi ba pwedeng... sadyang nagmamalasakit lang talaga ako?

"I really don't mind," He even had the guts to shrug. "If one day, you'll realize that you like me, I can't blame you. Living with someone who's what again? Iyong sinabi mo kanina... Na gwapo, mapungay ang mata, tas maganda boses?"

My lips parted. He used my own words against myself!

"Lord, ito po ba talaga 'yung taong sinama ako sa pagtalon niya sa ilog? Bat parang humangin masyado? May bagyo po ba?" Napadasal ako ng wala sa oras.

"You can be a comedian. Ang galing mo mag-joke," He replied dryly.

Ngumuso ako. "Okay! Okay! Balik sa topic. Ang tanong ko, how's you first day of work? Sana naman po ay diretso na ang sagot..." Pagpaparinig ko sa kaniya.
