i always make really good first impressions
i don't do it on purpose
i just treat people i don't know with kindness?
there's no reason to be mean.
and some of the people i meet
decide that i'm worth keeping around
and that is the best feeling
but i don't know how to make it last
because i make fantastic first impressions
and that apparently sets the tone
so after our first meeting,
i'm just one disappointment after another
i'm am someone that people grow to hate
i don't know what it is that i do
or maybe i don't do enough
but i can't make a relationship last
every friend drifts away eventually
or it becomes outright clear
i'm not wanted around anymore
whatever the reason, i'm alone
