This Player x Veteran will be a bit different. Player will be the *cough* more flustered one.

Player's POV~

~

Crewmate.

Blech, again?

It doesn't matter anyway. I'm going to lose for sure.

It's nerve-wracking when you have a killer roaming around. It's scary when there's no one around that you trust.

My eyes lock onto Veteran when the game starts. I always stick around him, no matter what. I trust him.

"Hiya, home-slice," Veteran says, tapping his tablet.

"Hey, Veteran. Where's your first task?"

He looks down at his tablet. "Electrical."

I shudder. Electrical? That's literally a bloodbath... Oh well, I'll be safe with Veteran.

Veteran grabs my hand and I blush.

I've never told him this, but...

I like him wayyyy more than I should.

"So, Player, do you have a task in here too?" Veteran asks. I nod and say, "Yeah, I've got to fix some wiring. What about you?"

"I gotta, uhh, divert power to navigation."

The lights turn off. I quietly whimper a bit and bite my lip.

"V-Veteran?"

The sound of a gun being cocked rang through my ears.

"Player..."

I whimper more audibly now, waiting for my impending doom. Small droplets of tears escape my eyes.

Yet...

It never came.

"Player, what's wrong?" Veteran whispers. He grabs my shoulders and wipes my tears away, and I blush a bit.

"I..."

"I'm not going to hurt you, Player, I promise," he whispers.

"Why?"

"Because I love you...," he admits.

I blush and say, "I- I love you too, Veteran."

He gently wraps his arms around me, and we lean our visors closer and closer, until-

"Uhm, Player, are you awake yet?"

Veteran stood at my door frame with his arms crossed. My face heats up when I realize it was just a dream. I hope I don't sleep talk.

"I've been calling your name for the past twenty minutes," Veteran says with an unamused expression.

Captain bursts into my room without warning, and shouts, "Heya, bestie!"

Veteran facepalms and mumbles, "Captain, we went over this..."

Captain pouts. "Why can't we all be best friends?"

Veteran and Captain start to argue, but I manage to split them up. "Okay, both of you, chill. I'm both of your best friends, all right?"

Veteran grumbles and exits my room. Captain embraces me in a hug and cheers.
