Song: Roman Holiday - Halsey

I parked my bag yesterday night. I'm so excited for today, to see the resort Gramps talked so highly about, to spend a whole weekend with Kacely. The suspension turned out to be some sort of twisted blessing, I'm happy Kacely got me into that pool and that this weekend we'll be able to finish what we started that day.

Our flight is at 10:20am and according to the airport, it's literally a thirty to forty minutes flight. I check my valise one last time to be sure I have everything I need.

Cocaine ✓
Weed ✓
1 pack of Condoms ✓
Tampons ✓
Headsets ✓
ipad ✓

Those are the essentials, the rest I can do without. I text Kacely to see if he's ready and head downstairs for breakfast - cereal obviously. I start watching the first episode of Elite season two but I can't concentrate because I keep looking at my phone. Why isn't Kacely replying me?

Did his mom change her mind?
Did he change his mind?

I clear the bowl of the cereal and drink the milk but I keep wondering why he's taking so long. It's already 9:37am. We have to be on our way ASAP because the distance from here to the airport isn't short, considering the bad roads too.

*Yeah, I'm ready. Just waiting 4 u*

Yes!

I grab my bags and hurry outside to meet our designated driver already leaning on the car.

"Good morning Azinwi" he says and stands up to help me with my bags. "How your night pass?"

"Don't worry about that, just put the things in the back." I tell him and get inside. He gets in moments later and closes the door before putting on the ignition.

"Um... Ateh, we'll be going to mile four to pick up my friend first before going to the airport. You'll have to be quick because the flight leaves in about an hour."

"We for commot house early again small"

"There's nothing we can do about that now so just hurry up." I tell him as we take the branch downwards from Foncha junction.

I put on my headsets and listen to Halsey's Badlands. This girl had a certain darkness in the soul of her lyrics that I totally relate to. It's like she could mirror my emotions.  But her latest album Manic isn't as dark as Hopeless Fountain Kingdom and Badlands. I miss that darkness.

Ateh pulls infront of Kacely's house and I spot him sitting on the stairs of the veranda with his phone in his hand. Ateh horns and he looks up before taking his earphones off and walking towards the car.

"Go help him." I tell Ateh even though Kacely has just a small travelling bag with him. He does as he is told and soon Kacely hops in and so does Ateh.

"Hey" he greets and I hold his cheeks before planting a kiss on his lips, Ateh doesn't count.

"You excited?" I ask and he nods frantically as the car takes off.

"What are you listening to?" He asks and takes my headsets from me and putting them on.

"That's Halsey." I help him point out when I notice he's wondering.

"The girl who sang Eastside with Khalid and Benny Blanco?" He asks and hands them back to me.

"Yes" I answer and lean closer into him. He tells me about the swimming competition and I honestly can't believe he had the balls to go for it. He always plays so safe and that took some guts especially standing up to Mrs Ndim. That woman breathes terror, even I am slightly creeped out by her.
