Chapter 28

I smile as I stare at Emma lying on her bed.

She slowly opens her eyes as the sun hits her

"Good morning" I smile at her as she sits up and I hand her a coffee.

"What are you doing here?" She asks.

"You got drunk last night... I had to drive you home"

"No, No it can't be! Carter drove me home"

"Carter went to the hospital cause her mom had a child and he ask me to drive you home"

"And you stayed?"

"Your parents aren't home so I had to make sure you're taken care of"

"Then why are you shirtless?" She asks as she points at me.

"Oh yeah... You puked at my shirt"

"I did?"

"You know what? you were drunk it wasn't entirely your fault"

"I'm sorry Casey"

"Hey, I'm your best friend remember? We both have blames to share"

"I shouldn't have hurt you! I shouldn't have made you jealous"

"Well, If only I just come out to you then we wouldn't be in this position"

"Why are you always like this?" She asks.

"Like what?" I chuckle.

"Nice! Kind! Understanding! Why are you always like that?"

"I wasn't always like that Emma" I frown.

"I don't deserve that... I don't deserve you"

"I don't deserve you either... I think it's a tie"

"I think I'm better off alone"

"You like being alone?" I smile at her.

"I like being alone" She sigh.

"Great! Me too! Let's do it together!" I smile at her.

She looks at me and then shakes her head and smile.

"You're my best friend Emma... And yes we have our arguments. But that doesn't matter anymore... None of it matters.. All that's matter ever since I met you is our friendship" I smile at her.

"It's true they say huh? Finding a pair doesn't have to be romantic" She smile.

"True Love also exist in Friendship" I smile at her.

"All I want is for you to return the love I have for you... But what I get is so much better... I know you will always love me and I will always love you too! And our friendship is unlike any other... And right now we're stronger than we've ever been before" Emma smile.

I walk towards her and sit next to her in bed.

I stare at her as I hold her hand and squeeze it gently.

"Colors fade and seasons may change but we will always stay the same" I smile at her.

"You have no idea how lucky I am to have you as my best friend Casey" She smile.

"Me too! And I promise that you and me? We're unbreakable" I smile at her.

We hear a loud beep and she looks at me in shock.

"Yeah I'm sorry... I used your dryer, see you downstairs" I smile at her as I get off the bed.

I walk downstairs and walk directly towards the laundry room.
