The rest of the train ride had gone by quickly while Bonnie listened to Fred and George discuss and bicker about their newest prank plans. She never chose to add to their prank talks, even though sometimes she did have a crafty thought or two, but it's not like she could get a word in edgeways.

Bonnie very much liked the Weasley's - all of the ones she had met, which included the twins as well as Ron, Ginny, Percy and Charlie.
Percy and Charlie having both graduated already. She found them charming and always felt at home around them.
Not to mention she saw a sort of quirky handsomeness about the twins, especially George. His glittering, mischievous grin often made her stomach erupt in butterflies. She admired from a distance though. Bonnie was not particularly close with anyone at Hogwarts. She tended to know most people but couldn't break into their cliques.

A while later, after the train pulled into the station and everyone clambered aboard one of the many seemingly self propelled carriages that took them to hogwarts, everyone had found their seats in the Great Hall. The huge room was decorated with candles that littered the ceiling, along with big fabric tapestries adorned with with each of the 4 houses of Hogwarts - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
The candles and tapestries had been suspended under the roof by magic. The roof had also been bewitched, to appear as a clear nights sky full of twinkling stars and a luminous crescent moon. The 4 long wooden tables that held the students of each house, were lined with golden plates, cutlery and goblets. At the front of the hall there was another table even more elegantly dressed where the teachers sat and faced the students.

Bonnie took her seat at the Gryffindor table next to Hermione who was a bushy haired fifth year. Bonnie didn't much care for her bossy demeanour and tended to try keep on her good side, as to not face the same nagging she seemed to lay on her best friends - Harry and Ron - at any given time. She had always been kind to Bonnie though, as had Harry and Ron. She gave the 3 of them a wave, that they returned with a smile as she sat.

Soon after she was seated, the Headmaster - Professor Dumbledore rose from his regal looking gold and red chair and raised his hands to which the hall fell silent.
"Good evening students and welcome back to another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I hope you all had a pleasant summer with your family and friends and have made memories to last you a lifetime." He smiled his trademark warm and knowing smile.
Waving his hands over the listening students in front of him he continued. "As always, I would like to extend a special welcome back, to the new batch of seventh year students who face their final year with us. We wish you luck."

Dumbledore talked about the coming school year for another minute or so, before bringing forth the terrified first years to be sorted. They all looked so tiny and scared. Bonnie studied the children as they stumbled past where she sat and wondered if that's how she looked 7 years ago.
'Perhaps I may have been tiny. But I was never frightened' she thought to herself boldly.
She lifted her eyes toward the ceiling, waiting for the ever boring sorting to be over, which she did every year to study the stars. Even though she knew it wasn't actually the real sky, she enjoyed trying to find the constellations and brightest stars.

Bonnie lowered her gaze as the last student was being sorted, catching the eyes of George who gave her an eyebrow wiggle, which she took as excitement for the food that would be appearing in their plates in 3, 2, 1....

And at the queue of Dumbledore announcing the beginning of the feast, mountains of food appeared on the table. Bonnie realised just how hungry she was and cursed herself for falling asleep before the trolley lady came across her on the train. Not that it mattered now as she looked across the sea of roasts, chicken legs, stews, sausages, kippers, potatoes and every food imaginable.
She fetched herself a serving of everything she could reach and ate in content silence, listening to the chatter around her about peoples summers and the upcoming school year.

On her dawdling walk to the common room after dinner and desert had been magically cleared away, Bonnie realised she was too busy staring the ceiling to have taken any notice of what the password to get through to the Gryffindor common room.
"That's what you get for not paying attention" Bonnie hissed at herself darkly.

She reached the portrait of the Fat Lady, whom was the only thing between her and the warmth and coziness of the common room. Bonnie, knowing this never worked but resolving to try anyway, fixed her best smile and said "Oh dear. I must have missed what the password is at the feast!"
The Fat Lady looked unimpressed and shook her head defiantly.
"No Password, No Entry!" She replied shrilly.

"Please Miss Fat Lady you know I am a Gryffindor! I've been here for 6 whole years!" Bonnie pleaded desperately, clasping her hands in front of her.
But to no avail. The Fat Lady shook her head again and turned away, her nose up in the air.

Cursing under her breath, Bonnie huffed as she sat down on the cold stone next to the portrait, resigned to the fact that she may be sleeping out here tonight. She crossed her arms over her chest and closed her eyes, leaning her head back against the dusty wall.

About 10 minutes later, she heard the portrait creak as it swung open. Bonnie snapped open her eyes and to see the twins staring at her with amused expressions.
"We have to stop meeting like this Bonnie. Do you ever have your eyes open?" Teased George.

"Thank Godric you two are always sneaking out. I didn't hear the password! Can you please tell me?" Bonnie pleaded.
Fred and George looked at each other for what seemed an eternity, almost like they could communicate through eye contact.
With a cheeky smile and a twinkle in their eye, they looked back at her.
"Your help for our help?"
