You took a deep breath in, and shakily let it out. This was fine. Everything was fine.
You thought you had controlled it well but tears suddenly sprung to your eyes. This is not fine. Your tightly clenched hands that were shoved down onto your lap began to shake. Your foot began to bounce up and down uncontrollably. You tried to take another deep breath but the air got caught in your throat. Mortified, you were forced to watch, as if unattached from your own body, as a strangled sob tumbled out of your mouth. A deep sense of horror gripped you and sunk down in your stomach, making you feel sick. You then felt numerous sets of eyes turn around and settle on your shaking form, hunched over the desk in front of you. You took another deep breath, trying to get it to just stop.
"Hey," Someone called out softly, and dread bloomed in your mind and seemed to drip down throughout your whole body. No, don't talk to me. Don't call attention to me. I'm fine. Unfortunately they couldn't read your mind and continued to talk to you, drawing more eyes over to the two of you. "Hey are you alright?" They asked, concern in their voice. And suddenly the deep breaths weren't working anymore, the tears streamed down your face and your whole body shook. You couldn't breathe. You couldn't think straight. Everything felt so heavy and overwhelming, the weight of everyone's curious stares on you only made it worse.
"Y/N? Do you need to step out into the hallway?" Your teacher asked softly. They had walked over to your desk once they noticed all the commotion. You tried to tell them that you were fine, that you didn't need to leave but you couldn't get a single word out without choking. Your teacher immeadiately helped you up out of your seat and led you by your arm through the classroom and into the hallway. You could feel their hot stares burning into you as you two walked through the silent classroom. Once you were gone, the room began to buzz quietly.
"Was that Y/N?" Someone whispered.
"Is she ok?"
"Wait what happened to her?"
"She just started crying randomly."
"I have a class with her before this and she was fine then."
The teacher came back in just then, closing the door behind her. "Can someone grab Y/N's stuff and walk with her to the office please?"
The person who was sitting right beside you stood up to go grab your stuff quickly, beating everyone else to it. They noticed as they picked up your phone that it was still on, the last thing that you had open still glaring brightly for them to see. They powered it off for you, wondering silently who Tyler was and why you were so upset that they were coming to visit.

"Are you sure?" The nurse asked you. You nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine now." You told him reassuringly. "Can you tell my coach that I won't be at practice today though?"
The nurse nodded. "Of course."
You gave him a small smile. "Thank you! I'll be leaving now then."
"Be careful." He told me, before walking back over to his computer and his game of solitaire that you had interrupted before.
"Thank you!" You called out again as you walked out the door. "For nothing..." You murmered.
"Hey." Someone called out softly. You jumped. "Sorry didn't mean to scare you." They said, laughing a little.
"You didn't." You replied indignantly. They laughed again.
"Ok, sure. We won't bring up the fact that you jumped a mile into the air then." They said teasingly.
"Great idea, let's not." You said, giving them a smile.
"Are you ok though?" They asked, all signs of the light-hearted convo gone. You sighed, your smile fading. You hated this.
"Yeah I'm ok." You told them reassuringly, feeling like you've had to say this too much recently. They gave you a look that said they don't believe you but didn't push you any further, which you appreciated.
"Are you going to practice tonight though?" They asked, smoothly switching the topic. You shook your head.
"No I'm not going to be there today. Do you run track?" You asked, wondering how they knew you were on the team since you didn't recognize them. They chuckled.
"Oh I would never." They said laughing. "Running is not my thing."
You tilted your head, confused. "How'd you know that I did it then?" You asked. They just looked at you.
"You do know that you're literally famous right?" They asked. You smiled.
"I wouldn't say that."
"Now you're just trying to seem humble." They said shaking their head, a smile on their face as well. "Well my name is Parker, I'm on the boys swim team. I grabbed your stuff for you." He said. Looking closer you could definitely notice he had a swimmer's body. His shoulders were pretty broad and he was wearing a white Beatles shirt that was slightly cropped, his midriff on display over his baggy blue jeans, showed off his small waist well. His tan arms were toned-
"You checking me out now?" He asked slyly, interrupting your thoughts.
"No, I was just noticing that you seem pretty fit, you could be a runner too if you wanted. Walk on. Coach doesn't mind late-joiners, you should check it out sometime." You told him, playing off the fact that you were most definitely checking him out, remembering what your coach said about always taking the opportunity to recruit people. The more people that joined, the better our budget would be. "I should go now though, see you around Parker."
"Hold on!" Parker called out, right as you were about to walk away. "Can I get your snap?" He asked bashfully, trying to appear confident. You laughed and gave him a smile.
"Of course. Here let me put it in." You said. He handed you his phone, his hands shaking slightly. You smiled softly at this, he seemed so cute. "Alright, text me later then. See ya Parker." You said, successfully being able to walk away this time, leaving Parker standing alone in the empty hallway, a blushing mess.
She was checking me out for sure.
As you were walking down the hallway, one of the classroom doors opened and a tall red-headed girl emerged, laughing loudly at something somebody had said in the classroom. She chuckled to herself as she closed the door. She looked up and noticed you walking towards the exit.
"Hey Y/N!" She called out loudly, giving you a friendly wave.
"Hey Lily." You called back, giving her a smile.
"You leaving early?" She asked, walking up to you. You nodded.
"Not feeling well right now." You told her. She sighed sympathetically.
"That means you won't be at practice tonight right? YES! I'll be number one for once then!" She celebrated jokingly. You laughed too.
"Enjoy it while it lasts." You said, smirking playfully at her.
"Oh, I will don't you even worry. Well I hope you feel better soon and call me if you need anything, ok? I need to go to the bathroom." She said smiling and began to walk in the opposite direction. "BYE Y/N!" She shouted. You shook your head and waved back playfully. Starting your walk again you only made it a couple feet before someone shouted your name. You sighed then turned around, a smile on your face. It was your biology teacher.
"Are you leaving Y/N?" He asked, walking over to you.
"I'm trying to." You told him with a smile. He laughed.
"Well I'll let you get to that then, I'll miss seeing you in my class later." He said sweetly before walking off.
"See you tomorrow." You said giving him a wave. Taking a deep breath you speedwalked the rest of the way to your car and didn't really breathe normally until you were in the safety of your car. You ran a hand through your hair as you sat there for a moment. But you quickly pulled yourself together and turned your car on, pulling out of the parking lot.
