After escaping the Maze, WICKED has more plans for the Gladers. Ash, however, is determined to defy them. The more she learns to fear their power the angrier she gets. In her mind, the best defense is to hide all weakness - especially her growing feelings for Newt.
THIS IS A SEQUEL. Please read my story "Good Grief (TMR fic)" first!! You don't have to if you don't want to (my writing got better in this one and the third part, lol), but it sets up Ash's personality as well as some key details that continue into this story.
Again, I want to remind you that this story has angst, so please don't read it if you're going to be upset by those scenes and endings.
Content warnings: this story contains minor suicidal behavior, minor cussing, death, some gore (again, not much worse than the original book, if worse at all), pyromania and arson.
Posting schedule: At least one chapter per day, starting from July 5th, 2021 (ended August 1st, 2021).
