Things have been a rather busy for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds the current situation stressful as fuck and crappy.
In one of my other works I did share that I am a health care provider and I'm currently the bread winner of my family. Things are getting slightly better, one of the two other people in my household started working again. Because she is a massage therapist, sometimes she works at 10% of her norm, sometimes 50%, but its something.
And even better news:

Meet Midnight Silk!
I have been really wanting a cat lately but, didn't know if it would be the right time and all the foster and animal rescue groups near e refused to let me adopt because I only wanted one cat (I live in a house with a cat friendly dog and would not be able to afford two cats) and they stated my work schedule would not make me a suitable pet parent. I do work 4-5 days a week for 7-9, in rare cases 10, hours a day, but there is almost always another family member a my house.
I gave up on searching for a while until a friend who volunteers with animal rescue groups contacted me saying she captured a momma cat and her 9 2-3 month old kittens. She had mom spayed and released and found homes for all except for one kitten. She hadn't given the rescue group she volunteers with any information about the one kitten she hadn't homed yet, because she knew I wanted a kitten and was facing difficulty adopting.

Midnight and I bonded almost immediately! She let me pick her up and flea comb her when we first met, and she showed me and allowed me to pet her little belly on the second night I brought her home! She (and a cheap weighted blanket from walmart) have also really helped with my insomnia.
She is currently 6 months old and as the above photo suggests I am her favorite perch. she loves to hang out on my shoulders while I'm moving around the kitchen or living room.

I am mostly keeping her an indoor cat because I don't want to loose and I have a feeling people, men in particular, have been mean to her before she came into my care. It took my brother 2 weeks of offering her pieces of deli meat to get her to warm up to him. She was initially terrified of him and would hide whenever he entered the same room she was in, a reaction she didn't have towards myself or my mom.
However, I do take her around in a cat back-pack and put her on a leash and allow her to walk around.
