A Day Later
Kathryn's pov
I wake up late for the first time in days since the shop's closed I just lay there in my covers happy.
"Man, it feels good to not have to worry about smiling fakely at customers for a day, I only have to do it to my irritating brother" I shout as Noah walks by, he just sends a fake smile.
"Whatever Gollum" He replies I glare and run after him and run downstairs as I chase him. He runs out the front door and I follow him.
"This isn't over Noah, I'll have my revenge on you, brother, or my name isn't Kathryn Huntsman!" I shout, he just laughs as he continues down the street.
"I miss you being at work" Mom says from behind me. I turn and give her a look
"Love you too Mom" I reply sarcastically, She just pats me on the cheek.
"You're just so loud" She explains, I roll my eyes
"But what about Noah, he's just as loud" I argue
"Well he's not here, how can I tell him?" Mom asks rhetorically
"I don't know... what about telling him telepathically, mom's can do everything else what's to say you don't have telepathy" I ramble
"I don't have telepathy" Mom bluntly responds
"Have you tried?" I push
"No, because I'm not weird" Mom replies
"Are you insinuating something?" I question, Mom shakes her head
"Nope more wondering how you got Adam to date you, did you pay him or something?" Mom asks jokingly (If only she knew the truth ha!).
"Of course not he just fell in love with my irresistible charm" I reply arrogantly and flick my hair, Mom rolls her eyes
"It's game night at ours tonight and I've invited Jackson and he asked if Natalia and her sister Jasmine could come and I said yes" Mom says
"Aww how thoughtful, what game are we playing anyway?" I question
"One that'll put all those acting skills of yours to the test... charades" Mom answers with a wicked smile, I huff dramatically
"I hate that game with a passion" I state dramatically
"See that acting right there was oscar worthy" Mom replies sarcastically, I roll my eyes
"Safe to say you won't be winning any mother of the year awards" I mumble as I walk away
"I heard that!" Mom shouts to me, I roll my eyes
"Of course you did" I say to myself and head back up to my room to have some much-needed R&R.
30 minutes later
Alex's pov
I walk along the beach with Logan, Romeo, Jacob, Mackenzie and Bear.
"Where's Kathryn?" Mackenzie asks, I chuckle to myself
"She said she was staying in bed all day watching The Vampire Diaries she needs her daily fix of Stefan Salvatore and his hero hair" I answer they both laugh.
"What's The Vampire Diaries?" Logan questions
"Well, it's a show about..." Jacob goes to question but I cut him off
"You aren't old enough to watch it yet buddy, don't listen to Jacob" I say Logan nods his head I ruffle his hair playfully he chuckles, I notice Romeo heading towards the water.
