(Lillian's POV)
We're driving home from Ace's house, guess we've been together for 181 days now
We get to my apartment and go into the elevator "so.." Ace says awkwardly, I could tell he's been thinking about something ever since this morning
"Uhh something up?" I ask turning to him
"I love you Lilly Anderson." he says as the door opens
He loves me
"........"
I didn't know what to say... did I love him
What even is love?
I don't even know the answer
I just walk out the elevator
"Wait Lilly" Ace says, but I was too far down the hall, I didn't hear him. When go inside I just see Nicole sitting on the couch
"Hey Lils, Brandon is out for the weekend, so it's just us." she laughs a little, she was watching some rom com with a bag of popcorn
"Uhh Nicole.. C-can I talk to you?" I say sitting next to her
She pauses the TV and turns to me "yup, what is it lils?" she asks genuinely listening
"Ace said I love you." I tell her
"OMG Lils, that's great! I'm so happy for you!" she starts
"-but... I didn't say it back." I look down
She moves next to me and rubs my back "oh... uhh, why.."
"Well.. I'm not sure.."
"Ok, tell me this, what do you feel whenever he knocks at the door."
"I, I feel really excited, I feel free of my problems, cause I know when I'm with him I can just be happy and relaxed, but still I get these little butterflies in my stomach." I answer with a little blush thinking about ace
"Ok... what do you feel whenever he hugs you or something?"
"I feel safe, and like just protected, I mean his hugs are really just the best."
"Got it... now why do you think you don't love him?" she asks me
"I just don't think I can love... I'm not really sure" I tell her
"Well, if it's cause your parents, you know Brandon learned to love, he just needed to think about it, so how about this. You take the rest of the day for yourself, uhh you can read, maybe take a long bath, just clear your mind, then tomorrow tell me how you feel, and then just tell Ace, I promise you no matter what it is, he'll understand."
"Aww Nicole, Thanks so much, you're really the best sister-in-law a girl could ever ask for." I hug her
"No you're the best sister-in-law a girl could ever ask for." she squeezes me "now go, you're meant to be thinking about life." she giggles
I get up "ok, ok I'll leave you alone." I joke
I go into my room, and look to grab a lavender bath bomb, which I take baths too.
I go into the bathtub and turn the water on, i grab a couple candles and set them on the table
Ok, I just need to relax, and the answer will come to me.. I hope
I grab a book off myself, I'm probably just gonna read while I'm in the bath.
I lay in the bath and start to read
Oh who am I kidding, I can't read right now! I need to figure out what I'm gonna do about Ace!
Ok, ok, ok, let me get my thoughts straight, Ace, Ace Aaron, The nicest guy I've ever met here in Lafayette High, also probably the cutest.
The guy literally got a charm bracelet!
He always planned the cutest dates, and he's so funny, plus, his food is kinda amazing.
Why do I even not love him, that's the real question.

I jumped out the bathtub, I just ran away from ace, right after he told me he loved me, god I'm The worst girlfriend ever!
"Nicole, I'm gonna go, I need to see Ace."
"Oh alright Lils." she says
I start walking out, I knew his house it about a 20 minute walk, if I was fast, I quickly went to his house and knocked on the door
I waited until I finally saw Ace
open up, I just gave him a hug "Ace I'm sorry... I- I love you too."
He hugs me back rubbing my back softly "oh my god Lilly, you don't know how happy I am to hear you say that."
"I got so overwhelmed earlier, I always loved you, I just needed to take some time to realize that." I tell him
"It's alright Lilly, I was just worried you never wanted to see this." he tolds up a charm, it was a heart that said 'I love you'
"Oh my god, Ace why must you be so sentimental." I take the charm
"Cause, I want to remember every moment I have with you." he tells me with a smile
"Ugh you're so cheesy." I say
"But you still love me so na na na na!" he kisses my forehead
"Yeah, I do."
