{16} A dress

(Lillian's POV)

"Ugh, do we have to get one?" I whine to jenny

"Yes! You are gonna go to the homecoming on friday!" she says back as we sit in my bed

"But Ace hasn't even asked me and it's in 4 days, do I have to?" I say laying back on my bed

"But he will Lilly! Come on, we're going!" she pulls my arm off my bed

"Fine." I say relentlessly

We go to the mall and we go into the dress shop, I look through a bunch of dresses, jenny makes me try on like fifty

And the end result is

"I hate all of them!" I tell jenny plopping on the chair next to her giving up

"Come on lillian, you have to like one!" she holds up a bright pink beaded tulle dress "don't you just love this one?"

I sign "no it's too bright!" I say

"Ok.. how about this one?" she holds a strappy teal v neck satin dress

"No, not that one eaither." i notice a dress out the corner of my eye and take it to the dressing room

I come back out in a navy blue halter long dress "I think i might like this one." I smile a little and look in the mirror

"Oh my gosh, yes! Ok! perfect!" she steps behind me and fixes it a little bit

"Thanks jenny." I blush a little "do you think Ace doesn't want to be with me in front of the whole school at homecoming?"

"No, lillian, he really likes you." she says with a warm smile

I shrug and sit on a chair "but what if he thinks people aren't gonna like him if they see us together."

"Well if he thinks that then he's not as good as a boyfriend." she says putting her shoulder around me

"I guess." I go back into the dressing room and change back into my clothes then we go back home.

"Grace, will you go to homecoming with me?" a guy asks in the hallway to who i presume is Grace

"Yes! I'd love to!" she runs into his arms

Just great, another homecoming proposal, I see Ace and he smiles at me like nothing is wrong

Ugh! Can he just go to homecoming with me! It's literally in 2 days!

I walk past him and sign, I go to my next class and right before I walk in I see a guy holding a stuffed dog and poster

"Jess, homecoming would be ruff without you, so will you bark up my tree and go to homecoming with me?" ok, cheesy, but still!

Is every girl in this school having a date

Wait, since when did I care about having a date

SINCE I GOT A BOYFRIEND!

I go to class and I did my work, I look over atAc who is playing around with one of his teammates as he did his work

After school I walk out to the field and start with my homework not paying attention to the players much, hoping Ace would realize I'm upset

Again, why am I so upset?

Ugh! Why is everything just so complicated now?
