C h a p t e r  02 - Temptations

"Great now what..." I thought to myself as I stood there wondering whom I could possibly talk whilst I wait. I hardly even recognize anyone here.

I then began scanning around the area for any familiar faces with all no luck at all until I spotted a group of guys sitting on some couches by the pool area. I didn't recognize anything of them so they didn't even cross my mind until I noticed one of them staring at me.

He's gaze was so focused on me up to the point whereby I began to feel a bit uncomfortable so I quickly looked away pretending like our eyes didn't cross-paths. "Wait is he staring at me? Why is he staring at me? Nah maybe he's looking at someone else. This is so weird"

I then pulled out my phone and started going back and forth on some apps just to seem like I wasn't having at shitty time standing all by myself but it didn't help.

After a few seconds I cautiously looked up to see if the guy was still staring at me. "Shit!" I thought to myself as I quickly looked away after our eyes crossed. "Wtf is he looking at me for", because I felt so uncomfortable I then decided to make my way back into the house, I needed a good drink anyway, hopefully something to help me loosen up....

I then walked into the kitchen were I found a few people chilling and socializing. I awkward made my way past in between them and reached for a red cup to pour messing a drink. "What's your poison?" I heard a familiar voice ask so I looked to see who it was and saw Samuel, some guy I used to hang out with as a kid.

"Whoa, oh my gosh Sam is that you!?" I asked in shock, " I  haven't seen you in forever man, I didn't know you were back in town"

"Uhm yeah, I've been back for about a week now and yeah gosh it's been ages since we last spoke" he replied in a warm tone. "How've you been?"

"I've been good hey, I'm just very shocked to see you right now" I replied back, "what are you doing back here?" I asked since Sam and his family left town back when we just kids, right as we were about to go to middle school. He also used to hang out with Luke, Tiffany and I but we haven't spoken nor seen each other since the day he moved.

"Haha alright slow down, how about you pour me a drink first so we can catch up properly and I'll tell you everything" he suggested.

"Gosh sorry I didn't realize I was getting so ahead of myself" I apologized lightly. "Yeah you're right, what would you like to drink"

"You got anything without any alcohol in it?" He asked.

"Uhm...well it's a high school party first of all so I'm just gonna assume everything here has alcohol mixed in" I stated. "What's wrong, are you a priest or something?" I joked...

"No no no, it's just that I wasn't really planning on getting wasted tonight and I'm in training so I can't really have alcohol"

"Oh shit alright, Uhm I think there should be a few cans of soda lying around here somewhere" I frantically looked around the room, making it my mission to find one.

"Nah don't stress about it, it's cool trust me...I'll just have one drink of whatever's here"

"You sure?"

"Yeah man definitely, one drink won't hurt me" he said flashing me a reassuring smile as he passed me his cup to pour into.

I then poured us both a drink then we made our way into the backyard since it was a bit too loud to have a proper conversation inside.

When we got there we browsed around for an open space to sit and lucky for us there were quite a few since Tiffany has such a big backyard. After we settled into our spot something told me to look up at the place where the guy who kept staring at me from earlier was sitting and when I did, I realized I couldn't see him anymore even though his friends were still there. "Mhm I wonder where he went" I thought to myself but quickly moved on from the thought after Sam said something to me.

"Damn you've really changed huh Ty!" He stated looking at me like an older relative I hadn't seen in years.

"Hehe nothing really hey, I swear I'm still the same old me" I replied in my defense, "I can't really say the same about you though..."

*giggling* "Gosh why not?"

"Well I mean look at you! You huge now! Clearly you've been working out..." I said trying not to make it too obvious that I was drooling over his body.

"Oh shit, I mean I'm an athlete so I gotta stay on top of my A-game you understand" he smirked.

"Foreal? What do you play?"

"Varsity football. Yeah I got recruited a few months ago on account of my age and the fact that I was basically the best player at my old school"

"You fucking lying! Ain't no way you that good!"

"Well I don't like to brag but honestly I am" he said flexing his muscles at me which caused me to flare up in the process but I tried to desperately to hide how turned on I was by him. I couldn't help but think about how he looked under his tight, black Tshirt or how amazing it must feel to be crushed by his heavy body as he strokes deeper and deeper into you but my thoughts were interrupted by his words, "But anyways enough about that man. So tell me, you got a girlfriend?" Shit! Why'd he have to ask me that question?!

"Uhm well...yes, I mean nah-no I don't sorry" I got confused by my own words.

"Mhm, well which is it?" He asked giving me a look of suspicion.

"I don't have one..."

"Oh why not?"

"Uhm, well cause I guess I haven't really found anyone who could be as interested in me yet"

"Whaaaaa nah man I know you fucking with me! Ain't no way someone as good looking as you could still be single! I mean look at you, I'm sure you got tons of hoes in your DMs" he insisted giving me bro-punches all over my body which caused me to spill some alcohol on myself, "shit!" I thought to myself...the whole situation began to feel awkward so fast to the point where I just wanted to get out of there....Luckily for me we quickly spotted Luke and Tiffany making their way towards us.

"NO FUCKING WAY! NO FUCKING WAY!!!" I heard Luke scream from across us, "WTF SAM! Is that you!?" Luke screamed in excitement, freaked out then ran and jumped onto Samuel who then embraced him causing them both to fall onto the floor, bursting out in laughter.

"YEAH MAN ITS ME! I'm legit back and for good I swear!!!" Samuel replied....
