Normal POV
The day begins on a normal Monday morning, the students of Westcrow go about their day attending classes, studying, and generally making the most of their day.
The school boasts a mix of all students, from nobles to commoners, humans, and beasts, there are all sorts of children that roam the halls.
One of these students is a girl, Bella Swift. The only daughter of Count Swift, a nobleman of great wealth, she has her satchel slung over her shoulder and a book in hand.
Passing by the crowd of people she waves hello to all she sees her tender smile bringing joy to her fellow students' day. She dawns a head full of soft white hair she keeps in a well-packed afro adorned with a dark blue scarf to match the school's colors, eyes as white as opals and as alluring as diamonds.
She went over to the next class she had, History. She got a seat right up front and settled in, unpacking all her materials and waiting for the class to start, she passed the time by reading one of the books she had been writing as a hobby before she was interrupted by a tap on her shoulder.
"Hey, is this seat free?", Bella looked behind her to see a tall, well-built girl with purple hair.
"Oh no, please," Bella said, she helped take the seat out and offered it to the girl
"Thanks," The girl said, she winked at her and smiled before sitting down and placing her bag on the table
"I'm Alissa, Alissa Hunter, I'm a junior and a diamond tier, you?" Alissa asked
"I'm Bella Swift, it's nice to meet you" Bella replied, even though Alissa was sitting down she was still taller than her.
"Oh that's a cool book, is it a series? or just one book?" Alissa asked
"Oh no I wrote this myself, I write novels as a hobby, this is just one of the ones I've finished, it's called Forbidden Amethyst," Bella said
"Woah, that's cool, if you ever become a big name don't forget to give me your autograph," Alissa said, she winked and gave her a teasing smile. Bella laughed and smiled softly.
Soon the teacher walked in and their conversation had to be cut short, they exchanged numbers and they went their separate ways once the class was over and went about their separate schedules.
Once classes were over, Bella returned to her dorm room, opening the door she met eyes with her roommate and closest friend, Ezra West.
"Hey belle, how were your classes?" Ezra asked, she had straight, long, green hair. She was a member of the fox species although her animal ears were hidden under her hair.
"Classes were good, met a girl in History, Alissa Hunter you ever heard of her?" Bella asked
"Yeah, isn't she the daughter of the Imperial Knights Captain? I follow her on Hexagram"
"Oh, do you? She seems nice, we exchanged numbers" Bella said holding up her phone, Bella took off her school uniform and neatly folded and arranged it in her closet, she put on a casual outfit and flung herself onto her soft bed.
Soon a knock on the door interrupted her moment of relaxation,
"I'll get it," Bella said
"Who's there?"Ezra yelled from her corner of the room
"It's Alissa! " Bella yelled back.
Bella offered for Alissa to come in and lock the door behind her, she looked around Bella's pastel, softly decorated corner of the room
Ezra suddenly leaped out of her bed and cursed to herself before grabbing her bag and flying out the door before slamming it.
"Soooo. . . . . . . . that your friend?" Alissa asked
"Yes honestly she's not always in a haste" Bella replied
"Let me guess she has an unsubmitted assignment that was due more than two days ago"
"Last week probably but yeah"
The day went slowly, Bella stared at the hand of the clocks waiting for that final bell to ring she'd hoped there was a mage who could fast forward the time or that Ezra would use telekinesis to force the hands to the right time so the teacher would be fooled into letting them leave early.
After the bell for lunch finally rang, Bella went to the Hibiscus cafe where the best sweets on the campus were made, she eagerly scanned the desserts and went for the last slice of strawberry cheesecake that had the perfect amount of whipped cream.
But as she reached for it, a hand from behind grabbed it quickly and Bella was left with shock and an empty tray in front of her, she asked the baker when the next one would be ready and she said it was a Friday special.
"Hey! That was mine!"
"Sorry doll but your hand didn't touch it so it was for anyone to possess"
The boyy was at least 6 ft and had jet black hair and two eye colors, yellow and blue. Bella was still standing at 5'8ft but still had to look up to the boy who took the cheesecake
"Well if you ask I could share with you," He said softly
Bella straightened herself and just stared at him, quietly opened his palm released his grip on the package, took the cake from him, and proceeded to walk away, he tried to get it back with some kind of fire whip but Bella dissipated her arm and used the spirit like gas formed from the dissipating to float the cake away from his reach before returning it to normal.
"I must say I've never met someone as rude and audacious as you, you snatch a snack right from a lady's grasp then proceed to taunt me with such cheap taunts, tsk I have no reason to stay here, feel free to wait for the other desserts, ill be taking my leave," Bella said before leaving the cafe and headed back to her dorm.
Bella went back to the dorm where Ezra and Alissa were getting along swimmingly, she sat down on the bed watching them playing the video game and chuffing down on the cake until Alissa and Ezra let out a blood-curdling scream.
"WHAT!? What happened?!" Bella asked
"Bella, are you out of your mind?" Ezra asked
"Ezra for the love of our dearly beloved goddesses what did I do?!?!"
Alissa showed her a picture in the school's online gossip newspaper, it was a picture of her and the guy who snatched her cake, and above it, was a headline;

NB: Merit points and grades are two different things, you can have the best grades in class but if say for example you're a troublemaker and always get merits deducted from your file you might still have a low tier despite having high grades and vice versa. So merit points are basically "good kid points" or the gold star on the sticker board kind of thing, the more you get the higher your tier.
