" Shit!"
I heard Mihca say as we ran. I have to admit running through a dark forest while being chased by a Cyclops, this isn't the way I wanted to end my Friday. As the cold air blew in my face. The sweat dripping down felt like it was gonna freeze.
" He's gaining on us Dakota!"
I heard Nova shout as we tried to pick up our pace. I quickly slung my bag from my shoulders to my chest, reaching for my book. I started mumbling a spell and opened up a portal. Gold sparks made a circle as I yelled at my friends to walk through. We all ran into the portal and landed in a meadow. Then we collapsed to the soft grass trying to catch a breath. Mihca then said
" Remind me why I became friends with you guys again?"
"Because Nova beat the ass of that kid in 6th grade." I respond, Nova starts to chuckle and sits up to say
" OK in my defense he was an ass, it was worth the suspension though."
As the adrenaline started to stop. My eyes widened as I realized what we had done just 48 hour after I got my witch mark.
