Once again, you woke up by yourself. No Kiara clinging to one of your arms. No Calli sleeping soundly on the opposite side from Kiara (you always had to be in the middle). You sat up and rubbed the sleep from your eyes. 

You picked up your phone to check the time, smiling at the lock screen. It was a picture from your first date with them. Your had your arms wrapped around both their shoulders. Kiara was returning the embrace while taking the selfie, while Calli looked like she was straining to get out of your grasp.

You eyes didn't take in the time, but they stuck to the little date underneath it. It was your birthday. You didn't even realise. It was your birthday, and your two girlfriends had gone somewhere without you, probably having the time of their lives without you. 

It was somewhat stupid, but this broke you. Small tears dripped down your cheeks. You stared forward for a few minutes, just silently crying. Before you noticed a yellow sticky note stuck to the wall in front of you.

You weighed your options before getting up and reading.

Please make your way into the kitchen

You blinked at the note. It was definitely Calli's neat handwriting. You were curious now, what did they have planned? You decided to do what the Calli had asked and made your way into the kitchen.

On the fridge, a note in Kiara's messy handwriting was stuck up with a variety of colourful magnets that you owned.

Calli and I got you something special

You did so. The first thing you noticed was the obvious plate with a brown bag placed on it. You assumed this was it, considering everything else on the fridge shelf was pushed as far from the plate as possible. You shrugged and took it out. Opening the bag, you were happily surprised to see a (F/P) (favourite pastry).

After finishing the tasty treat, you noticed there was a sticky note stuck to the plate.

The lines were written in different fonts, which was slightly amusing. You were intrigued in what they were doing, so you did so. You grabbed your phone so you could play some mobile games while you waited.

Around half an hour later, you heard the screeching of tires outside, which meant Calli and Kiara were home. You heard Calli calling after Kiara, who you supposed ran ahead. Said phoenix quickly appeared and faster than you could comprehend, has embraced you and kissed you. She started spewing out apologies on why she and Calli couldn't be there for a few hours since they were getting you something.

Calli appeared soon after, carefully holding a box with several holes poked along the top and sides. She happily hugged you and leaned against you slightly. She was obviously still tired. Kiara was hopping up and down with excitement, looking over at the box, the you. You walked over and pried the lid off of it.

Inside was the smallest, cutest and fluffiest baby rabbit. It stared at you with big dark eyes but it didn't move. It was mainly white, but it had spatterings of brown with a downy grey tail. You were speechless as you picked the small animal up.

Kiara and Calli waited for your reaction with baited breath, hoping that it wasn't a negative one. There nerves were calmed when you gently hugged the small creature, softly murmuring to it.
"Do you like them?" Kiara asked. You gently pet the soft fur on the rabbit's head. You gave her a big smile and nodded your head.

Calli smiled, "Ight, I'm going back to bed" she stated, walking back to the bedroom. Kiara was shocked and chased after her, leaving you with your new friend.

Definitely worth it.

Updates are going to become less frequent as of now since I have things I need to do and I started a new book. Also yes, I did just put my rabbit in the story.
