Chapter 39- Small but Grand Reunion

'Omg narinig niyo yun?'
'Ano?'
'Hay naku girl! Bakit delayed ka?! Break na si Renzo at si Hannah Gayle!'

Sam's heart skips a beat upon hearing those words. Nagbreak na sila? Seryoso?

Naka uniform na siya ngayon tsaka her looks aren't so exaggerated just like before. Nakalipbalm lang siya ngayon. She's planning to say sorry sa kanyang kabarkada ngayon. Nakarealize kasi siya na she's too much na. She's slowly turning back to her old self, simple but pretty. Pero she became stronger now.

Palakad na siya papuntang room, wala si Joshua kasi nandun sa Cebu. Nung nandun na siya sa room niya, nakita niya si Hannah Gayle na namumugto ang mga mata, she wears a fake eyeglasses para hindi masyadong manotice. Her hairs all messy, tousled in every way and the lipstick have small smudges on the edges of her lips.

So it is right. Sabi ni Sam sa kanyang sarili. Part of her is happy, part of her doesn't care.

But nevertheless, nagbasa na lang siya ng Insurgent.

Parang finast forward ang araw niya. Dismissal na ngayon. Nag ipon ang barkada niya sa isang punuan malapit sa gate. Sam approach them while they are acting like she's not there, waiting a word from her.

Sam's POV

Nandito na ako sa harapan nila yet hindi sila huminto sa kakagawa kung ano ang ginagawa nila. Parang walang Sam doon, parang walang ako. Masakit siya oo, pero I understand. I've been a bitch these past few weeks and im here to apologize to them, iilang araw na lang bago grumaduate.

"Guys.." Sabi ko. Bigla naman silang huminto. "I know, I've been a bitch these past few weeks. I know I offended you with my words, hindi ko dapat kayo idiramay dahil alam ko you are all just trying to lend a helping hand to me. So I'm here to apologize, I hope you can all understand me. Alam kong alam niyo na ang agos ng buhay ko ngayon. And losing you guys will hurt more, I realized that I can't stand on my own kung wala kayo. Drew, Alexa, Kim, Eric, Lance. Can you forgive me?" Tumulo naman ang luha ko. I never knew how much I missed them so much until this day.

Bigla naman nila akong hinug. Oh, that feeling.

"Ofcourse Sammy! Pinatawad na kita oy matagal na! Hahaha! I missed you! Omg! I love you so muchhhh! Thankyou bumalik ka naaaa!" Kim almost choked me with her tight bear hug.

"Akala namin you'll change for good. Na hindi babalik yung Sam na dati. Namiss kita Sammypatootie." Sabi ni Drew with a wide smile, a genuine one.

"Ako din." Ani ni Lance at Eric.

"Oy alis! Alis! Padaanin niyo ko! Excuse me! Siiiis! Omg! Omg! I really missed you! Bruhang ka! Hindi bagay sayo ang maging bitch oy! Luh! Sana ganito ka palagi! Wag ka ng magbago, nandito naman kami para sayo. Dba guys?!" Alexa

"Oo nga Sam!"

"Kaya group hug tayo! Wooooh!"

And then that moment, I was nearly choked but damn, I realized how much I'm blessed with having them as my friends.

Hindi ko mapunas ang ngiti sa mga labi ko. My carriages feels like been lifted up away from my shoulders. Its good to be back in the gang. Kahit na hindi kami nagpapansinan ng ilan weeks, connected pa rin kami. That what true friends are, kahit madalang lang nag uusap, you are still connected in some other ways <3
