The Day That Wasn't

"Three days?" Allison asked as she handed Luther coffee. We were having a family meeting, I was standing near Klaus trying to deal with a growing headache.

"That's what Five said." Luther answered.

"The old bastard did mention the apocalypse, come to think of it. He just left out the part about how soon." Klaus said.

"That's because you didn't even care to asked since you were trying to get high." I growled.

"But can we trust him? I don't know if you've noticed, and no offense Es, but you two are a little..." She whistled and made the motion suggesting we were crazy. I glared at her and gave her the finger.

"Our little psychos." Klaus laughed.

"He was pretty convincing. If he wasn't trying to stop an apocalypse, those lunatics wouldn't be chasing him." Luther actually defended Five, the world must be ending.

"That's why they were after him?" Diego asked.

"Yeah." I answered sitting on the couch behind Klaus.

"What did Five even see?" Allison asked. Before I could tell them Luther started talking.

"Uh... apparently, we all fought together against whoever was responsible." There was a silence, expecting to hear more. Again I was about to speak up until Luther started talking. "Okay. So here's the plan. Uh, we go through Dad's research-"

"Wait, what?"

"Hold on, hold on."

"Wait a tick, wait a tick, wait a tick. What actually happened the first time around?" Klaus asked.

"Yeah what are you not telling us? Come big boy spit it out." Silence, Luther said nothing.

"For the love of God." I stood up. "We all died."

"What?"

"We died."

"Okay, let me get this straight. You have known since he got back, and you have known since the night after the break in. And just now, you're telling us?" Diego was upset, obviously more at Luther but there is reasoning behind it.

"Look it doesn't matter, we need to go through Dad's research." Luther answered.

"No, we need to figure this out."

"Is it just us?"

"It's everybody."

"In the house?"

"The whole planet?"

"No, outside the house."

"Everybody died!" I yelled over their questioning getting frustrated.

"Hey." I turned to see Vanya and some scrawny ass looking dude. I smiled and said a small 'Hi Van' in her head. She cracked a small smile before going back to a frown. "What's going on?"

"It's a family matter." I rolled my eyes at Allison's choice of words.

"Family matter. So of course you couldn't bother to include me."

"No, it's not like that we were--"

"Don't let me interrupt."

"Vanya, wait. I'll fill you in later when we're alone." Allison said.

"Please, please, don't bother. And I won't either."

"Vanya, that's not fair."

"Fair? There's nothing fair about being your sister. I have been left out of everything for as long as I can remember. The only person who tried to include me, Esme, has enough problems in her life as it is. And I used to think it was Dad's fault, but he's dead. So it turns out you're the assholes. I see you later Es." Vanya finished her speech with a wave to to me and left.
