The rest of the time we were on the helicopter we just talked about anything and nothing, he told me some stories and I told him and before I knew that we arrived
"We are here," the pilot said. I took deep breathes
"don't worry, it's going to be ok," he said trying to help me
"you don't know that" he didn't know what to say
"We have your back" he kept trying
"Nothing can save me from this"
"try to be more positive," he said still trying to encourage me
"my brother is going to kill me, what positive about that?!" I said and he looked at me in shock for a few seconds and then he laughed hard
"It's not funny" rude.
"I'm laughing because you are the first person that doesn't give a shit about the fact we are in a war zone but the fact that your brother will be mad," he said still laughing
"well to my defense my brother can be very scary when he wants to be" he just kept laughing
"that's true, so good luck with him"
"you aren't going to help me with him?"
"nope" again rude
"Loyal my ass," I said and he started laughing hard again
we got out of the helicopter and started to walk, I just followed Jaxon. all the people looked in our direction when we walked and I tried to hide myself so my brother won't see me.
we walked into some sort of building and stopped in front of a door Jaxon knocked on the door and without waiting for a response he got in and I walked in too
"Jaxon its good to see you still don't know you actually need to wait until I say come in to come in" I couldn't help but laugh a little and they both turn their head and looked at me
"Skylar, it's an honor to have you here. after I saw you in training I knew I have to get you here I just hope you are not a pain in the ass like your brother" the commander said and I laughed
"only when I need to be sir" I replied and he laughed
"please call me David, I'm sorry for the company at the helicopter I hope he behaved," David said and I laughed
"it's alright he is not that bad," I said and David laughed while Jaxon stared at me
"If you can handle him and your brother then you will get along just fine," he said and I smiled
"I hope so thank you David sir" he smiled
"just David is fine. I know you didn't want anyone to know anything but I think now it's time to introduce you properly and there will be one cameraman to film this because it's a historic moment. your uniform will be here tomorrow so for now well actually what you are wearing is just fine, are you ready?" he asked me
"I was born ready" I smiled and they laughed
David opened the microphone that he had on his table and told everyone to come to the white room which I have no idea where it is then he got up and started walking
"I'm going to delay your brother for a few minutes so David could introduce you before your brother kills you," Jaxon said with a smirk
"thank you so much," I said and left while hearing him laughing behind me
I walked out and started walking until I realized I have no idea where I'm going so I turned back to the direction I came from but bumped into a wall
I took a few steps back to realize it's not a wall but a person. he was tall very tall about 6′2 and it's not like I was short I was 5'8 which is tall for a girl and I still had to raise my head until my eyes met his he had the most beautiful blue eyes, they were so familiar but I couldn't understand from where. ok, I'm acting like a creep.
I snapped out of it and offered my hand
"Sorry I'm new here and got lost and I'm really in a hurry can you by any chance tell me where the white room is?" I asked and he coughed a little
"Yeah sorry keep walking straight until you have a right turn then- you know what I'm walking there so just follow me"
"ok thanks" he started walking and I followed
"Are you from the CIA?" CIA? I will take it as a compliment
"sure why not" I answered because I find it funny and wanted to mess with him
"what do you mean-" we got to the white door we walked in
"sorry have to go," I said and quickly made my way to David who stood in the center and everyone looked at him
"why is there a cameraman here?" one of the people from the crowd asked while I walked to where David was standing
"Skyler come here," David said and I walked till I got next to him
"everyone this is Skyler H-" before David could continue someone from the crowd shouted
"We don't need another doctor what is she doing here?" I saw David getting angry for being interrupted but before he could say something I spoke
"Did you hear someone says I'm a doctor?" I replied and everyone turned to look at me
"Maybe if you waited two more seconds you would have known" I added and the crowd got quiet before the man who shouted could say something David spoke
"Anderson, did you just cut me in the middle of my sentence?" David asked in a scary tone
"Sorry sir," the man who I discovered go by Anderson said
"Like Skylar said she isn't a doctor she is-" and once again another person shouted
"Is she CIA?" someone shouted and David stared at him
"here is a brilliant idea wait ten more seconds and find out how does that sound?" seriously it's angered me they kept interrupting David, have some respect. People thought it was funny and laughed
"who do you think you are? some doctor who knows nothing? we fight here so why do you-" before he could continue someone cut him
"Tyler shut up," said the man who showed me the way here and the man who goes by Tyler shut up
"I'm sorry Skyler its been a long time since we got a woman here so they forgot their manners. Tyler and Anderson you both will be punished after we are finished here come to my office," David said then he turned to me giving me a look I understood as do you want to say who you are and I nodded my head
"As I said earlier but apparently we have a deaf person here" People laughed and Tyler gave me a bad look or at least he tried because I found it funny
"I'm not a doctor, you said you fight here? well guess what I am too" it was dead quiet in the room everyone was shocked
"I passed my training and came here to be a navy seal" people looked at me with a disbelieving look
"Skylar here is going to be in team- "
"no she doesn't" came a familiar voice from the door
"she is not staying here," the same voice said
