before I could start running the door opened, I raised my gun ready to shoot.

"Chief I found them, tell Rose we have the girl and send us a helicopter," Luke said through the earpiece while glaring at me. I sighed in relief and lowered my gun

"I don't know fully yet but I think so," Luke said through the earpiece

"Are the others okay?" I asked. my earpiece fell so I don't know what's going on

"yes but we needed to secure the wife- I mean Rose so they already left but they are sending us another helicopter. we need to go" he said with no emotions and started walking.

okay then

we walked for about ten minutes quietly, Luke asked me if I want him to take Lili but she tightened her hand around my neck signaling me she didn't want to so I said I'm okay, except that he didn't talk which maybe is normal but I think that this time he is angry at me.

we saw the helicopter and got on it.

"Who are you? why did you save me?" Lili asked as soon we got on the plane

"We are from the army, we came to rescue your mom, we didn't know you were there but when we got to your mom she said we need to get you. I'm Skyler but you can call me Sky and that's Luke" I said to her and she smiled a little

"thank you for saving us, do you know where daddy is?" she said in her cute little voice

"not yet," I said with a sad smile. she nodded at me

"you have a lot of blood there does it hurt you," she said pointing to my eyebrow, I forgot he cut me there. I touched there to see the blood is already dry

"it's just a small cut what about you? did you get a cut or something?" I asked and she nodded then lifted her shirt a little. she had a cut on her stomach. I didn't see it before because her shirt was already very dirty

I got up took the emergency kit then sat down in front of her

"It will sting a little okay?" I said and she nodded

I cleaned her cut. fortunately, it wasn't a deep one, then I got back to sitting, Lili put her head on me

"you won't be so lucky next time," Luke said after Lili fell asleep

"so you do talk to me, good to know," I said with a smirk

"Skyler you acted stupidly and concerned everyone, where the hell was your earpiece," he said angrily

"Someone came from behind me and pushed me I fought him off but the earpiece fell and I didn't have time to look for it. I'm sorry I didn't mean to concern you" I said looking at him and he kept glaring at me

"you don't even sound worried sky, you could have been killed you can't be alone in the first months it's not a game," Luke said and I rolled my eyes

"Luke I know damn well it's not a game, that's why I went for the girl, they would have taken her," I said now angry too

"Sky, it was your first mission you can't do that again, the rules keep us alive don't break them," he said and I kept quiet
