#36- Doctors - DDM

It was now about 11 and y/n and I were playing golf in the backyard

" daddy I'm no go at this " she said  throwing the golf club on the floor

" it's alright you'll get the hang of it princess just don't give up " I said as she smiled getting back up

" why did mommy have to leave so early " she asked " mommy had to go to work " I said as she nodded

I checked the time on my phone it was now 12:20

" alright y/n we're gonna go somewhere but please don't freak out " I said as she had a scared expression

" as long as we're not going to the doctors i won't " she smiled skipping inside to put her shoes on " oh god " I said face palming myself

We get in the car and I start driving to the doctors but when we get to the front y/n starts crying softly. I got out the car and went to her side to comfort her.

" dada I don't wanna be here I wanna go back home " she said in her sweet baby voice and it killed me

" sweetheart I'm sorry but mommy had an appointment set for you and I promise we will go through this fast "

" you promise " she sticking her pinky finger out

" I promise and after we could go get ice cream " I said linking my big pinky finger with her little one making her smile and reach up for me

We got in and I signed her name and waited to be called as we were waiting I let y/n play on my phone while I mentally prepared myself

" Y/n Horan " the nurse said as I looked up and y/n freaked out a bit

We go to the back and y/n will not let go of me

" sweetheart I just need to see your height and weight then we're gonna do an eye test then you can go back with daddy ok " the nurse tried convincing her as she nodded and slowly let go

Y/n grabbed the nurses hand and she brought her to the scale where she got on, then she did her height  and did an eye test on her

" alright y/n go sit back with daddy " the nurse said typing in the information and y/n didn't hesitate to run back to me

" alright so little miss horan is 46 pounds and is 100.7cm (3'6)"

"Her eyesight is actually very well"
the nurse says as y/n just stares at her

" ok now time for the hard part " she says and I'm mentally freaking out

" if you would like to sit with her on the bed and maybe make her feel a bit comfortable, she will have to get 1 on each leg and one on her arm " she says leaving the room to go get the needles

" daddy what's she talking about "
y/n looks up at me

" well baby your gonna have to get 3 shots " I say hoping she wouldn't scream

" no no no daddy please I don't want a shot " she says crying wrapping her arms tightly around my neck

" princess I'm sorry but you have to and I promise we can go get ice cream after and we can watch Disney movies until mommy gets home " I say but she just shakes her head and cries more as the nurse walks in she gives a soft smile and I position y/n in the way she could get her first shot

" DADDY PLEASE NO " she starts screaming and kicking

" y/n come on just relax please baby " I say holding her leg tightly

" GET OFF OF ME NOW " she yells and cries at the same time which honestly breaks my heart

" calm down sweetie I promise I'll make it go fast you won't even feel it " the nurse says trying to calm her down but y/n only throws her head back on my chest and cries more.

Once the nurse gave her the first shot, people outside waiting probably heard it

" DADDY HOLD ME PLEASE " she says breaking my heart and the nurse probably feels really bad

" y/n/n calm down I'm here i promise after this we can do whatever you want but you have to be a big girl" I say as she nods but still cries

" ow ow ow please your hurting me " she tells the nurse crying more after her last shot. The nurse puts the last bandage on and y/m quickly turns around and wraps her arms around me as she starts calming down but is still trembling.

My heart has officially broken and I couldn't take it anymore I felt like a tear was gonna come out but I had to be brave for y/n

" sweetie your finally finished how about you come pick out 3 lollipops and 1 toy from the treasure box " the nurse said as
y/n looked up slowly turning around

I tried putting her down but she only started whining more

" look y/n how about a nice pretty blue ring " I say as y/n smiled and nodded her head

" here sweetie pick 3 " the nurse said handing her a little basket of lollipops

Y/n choose 3 and out her face back in the crook of my neck still sniffling

I thanked the nurse and apologized for all the screaming and we walked out of the doctors

" how about some ice cream now "
I said as y/n perked up and smiled

We got ice cream and as we got back home Layla was already sitting on the couch with extra snacks and a princess movie waiting to start

" hi mama look at my 3 lollipops and my blue ring " y/n said running to Layla as she picked her up

" that's beautiful princess here mama you can have this one and daddy you can have this one and I have this one " y/n said giving us each a lollipop

" thanks sweetie how about you sit down on the couch and wait for mama and daddy to come alright " Layla said running to the living room couch

" how was it " Layla asked with a soft smile, I ran into her arms and actually let out a tear

" awe Niall " she said wiping the tear " my softie " she said making me playfully roll my eyes

" it was horrible my poor princess screaming " daddy hold me " come on who wouldn't feel said "
I said running my hands through my hair

" alright well I think we have a little girl waiting for her parents to watch movies with us " Layla said grabbing my hand walking to the living room to see y/n asleep with have of a gummy worm sticking out her mouth

I took the gummy worm out her mouth and ate it myself

" all that crying tired her out I guess " Layla said picking y/n up

" let's just go back to sleep in our room bring her to put her in the middle CUDDLE SESSION " I said getting louder at the end as Layla shushed me

We all got in bed and instantly fell asleep next to y/n after a long and exhausting day
