To win or to lose. We don't get to choose.
We must fight. We must try.
Giving up is to die.
No one wants to lose but to be sore loser is the worst path to choose.
Here we have a boy, so young and so blue.
Beaten in a park for having new shoes.
They lay still and bloody perhaps a little muddy.
As they lay on the ground and think.
Did they lose by falling or did they win by not standing down?
To win or to lose.
To win or to lose.
Did they win.
Are they lost.
Laying there without shoes.
"I won"
They laughed as the other walked away.
Squelch went the shoe as they put it on.
"What the heck is that... almighty pong?"
They shrieked as the boy on the floor laughed and cried for more.
The mess that lay in the shoe on his foot grew and it grew until the they could be mistook.
Mistook for the mess that covered them whole.
As the boy walked away the vision did fade.
Their power was to create an illusion of mess.
Oh what an illusion they'd made.
