The school bell rings, signaling the end of the school day and students file out of classrooms eager to get home and start the weekend.

All of the hallways are decorated with signs and posters showing school spirit in honor of the homecoming game tonight.

Because football is so big around here, the homecoming game has been the talk of the school for the past week as well as the talk of the town.

Admittedly, I'm kind of nervous for it for two reasons. The first reason being that we are finally performing the dance routine we have been practicing for weeks, in front of practically the whole school and a lot of people from around town. The second reason being that there is so much pressure on Will tonight and even though he says he's not, I know he's nervous about it.

After dropping my textbooks off at my locker, I begin to make my way to the gym to meet up with the cheer and football teams for one last run through of the routine before the boys have to start warming up for the big game tonight.

"Katelynn!" I turn around on the spot, my hair whipping around me. My eyes land on Will and watch as he jogs to catch up with me.

He leans in close, his heavenly smell surrounding me and making me melt into a puddle on the ground. Not literally of course.

Will pecks my lips once and then twice. "I missed you." He murmurs. His fingers intertwine with mine and his thumb caresses the back of my hand in slow back and forth strokes while his gorgeous eyes give me all of their attention. The simple action drives me crazy and he knows it.

"You just saw me right before last period started." I laugh softly and bite my lip. "Come on, we're gonna be late for the run through." I tug on his hand to lead him to the gym and he follows behind me but I can feel his heavy gaze.

"Have I told you that you look so good in that uniform?" Without even looking at him, I know he has that familiar smirk tugging at his lips.

I glance back at him to find his gaze glued to my legs. His eyes quickly float up to meet mine and he rubs the back of his neck, looking guilty while he clears his throat. He knows he's been caught. "About ten times already. And last week too." I can't help but smile. Okay, that was a bit of an exaggeration. He told me once this morning when he picked me up for school and then once at lunch.

"Well you do." He says.

It's been about two weeks since Will and I have officially started dating.

The first day we showed up to school together as an official couple, we walked into the front doors hand in hand. When our friends saw us while waiting by my locker, they went absolutely nuts. Peyton, April, and Kelsea all screamed. Literally. And the guys just stood there, staring at us. Luke and Wyatt had shocked expressions, later they told me it was just because they couldn't believe that Will 'actually grew a pair' and asked me out. Mason just had the biggest smirk that I have ever seen plastered on his face. He looked like a proud dad.

As for the rest of the student body, we received a lot of stares and whispers as Will and I walked through the halls together. I even had a few people come up to me at random times and ask for confirmation that Will and I were, in fact, dating. I guess it seemed to be a big deal that the quarterback and a cheerleader started dating, although I feel like it shouldn't because it's kinda the oldest cliche in the book. The strangest interruption was when I was using the bathroom and a girl asked me from the other side of the stall (while I was peeing!) if I was really Will's girlfriend. It gets weirder, she was also mid-pee.

It was the most awkward situation of my life.

But, the gossip died down after about a week and everything has returned to normal. I have not had anyone else interrupt my peeing.
