My heart is still racing from the stunts we just practiced. I will forever love the adrenaline rush that I get from cheering. There's something about being thrown up into the air that gives you a feeling like none other.

After practices ended for both cheer and the football team, the guys had invited us all to Will's house where we could order pizza and knock out some homework. We agreed with smiles on our faces before heading back to the locker rooms to quickly shower off our sweat dampened bodies and to change back into our normal clothes.

"Geez Peyt, I could literally feel the sexual tension from the looks you and Wyatt were giving each other the whole practice. You couldn't keep your eyes off of one another." I look to April to see her giving Peyton a knowing look with slight teasing in her eyes. Peyton's cheeks turn slightly pink as she grins as if to say I know, right?

I joined in on the conversation with "I noticed it too." As I slide my espadrille's on my feet and then gather up my cheer bag.

April turns to me with a smirk. "Guess who I caught making googly eyes at you on more than one occasion? I'll tell you who! Will." She says Will in a sing song voice, exaggerating that "i" in his name. I roll my eyes and brush it off but on the inside my heart rate has increased ever so slightly.

Before my mind could start racing about possible reasons why he could've been watching me, the logical part of my brain reminds me that I was the one stunting the whole time. Everyone always watches that. How can you not spare a few glances at someone being thrown through the air doing crazy toe touches and flips?

Luckily Peyton seems to notice my lack of caring for this particular conversation and changes the subject. "I'm really happy that we've found some cool people to hang out with. I wish we would've become friends with them earlier on instead of our last year of high school." She chatters happily while re-applying her lipgloss, using her tiny mirror and smacking her lips together for good measure.

"They're so much fun to be around." April chimes in in agreement.

We grab our bags and make a beeline for the locker room entrance where we find the guys leaning up against the wall across from the door. Peyton and Wyatt immediately fall into step with each other, Wyatt's arm wrapped around Peyton's shoulders as they start up a conversation with each other about how much Wyatt likes Peyton's long hair. His obsession with her is adorable.

"Ugh after that practice I'm so tired. I just wanna sleep." April pouts.

Mason gets a big grin on his face and asks "piggy back ride?"

April's eyes light up in excitement. "Yes!" She hops on his back and he starts running to the car "Wait I didn't agree to this! I thought it would be a nice, peaceful piggy back ride!" She yells. Her voice sounds more distant after each word. My lips tug up in a smile as I watch them go.

"You were great out there doing all those tricks in the air." I snap my eyes to my left to look at Will as I listen to him talk. "You must be light as a feather."

I laughed at this. "No, my bases are just strong. But thank you." I grin at him.

"You're welcome. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see you in those little shorts for longer." He smirks and winks at me.

I fake a look of disgust, trying to fight the smile from stretching over my lips. I knew he was just kidding after all. "You're such a guy."

This must've caught Wyatt's attention because he turned around and said "he might look like a guy but he's really just a puss—" Peyton covered her hand over his mouth with wide eyes.
