I'm a terrible author, I'm sorry. I won't say a bunch of excuses and stuff for why I haven't posted in like 2 months. I apologize in advance and will try harder.
Also, today is our 1 year anniversary :)

RECAP:
"No... he's gonna kill me."
"When you put it that way, it makes me sound desperate."
"I'm glad I failed."

"Hey, wanna play a game?" I turn around quickly, being startled by the sudden voice behind me. I look and see Jonathan standing under the porch light, walking up to me. His features slowly fade away as he travels farther from the lights.
"Go for it." I tell him as he sits down next to me, joining my gaze at the sky.
"Let's play hide and seek. You can hide first." He suggests. He looks at me with a small smile, convincing me to agree.
"Okay." I smile at the ground.
"Wait, before you go." He looks at me and I look back, "Are my eyes glowing yet?"
I look at him closely, "Kind of, but since the moon is so bright and the porch light is on behind us it's not at full effect." I explain. He nods as I stand up to begin hiding.
"You have 30 seconds. Woods are an option." He adds. I nod and he starts counting as I run behind Crystal's house into the woods. The deeper into the woods I walk, the more his voice fades. I wonder if these woods connect with the woods behind our houses. I find my way into a tree, climbing up it and staying silent. I scratched my hand a little on the way up, but it's fine.
The woods are like pitch black, so it would be hard to find me. I hear his voice slowly stop in the distance then I hear the sound of crunchy sticks. He's coming. I close my eyes tightly as I hear him get close to me. I hear him walk past me and I let out a sigh of relief. The woods go into a comfortable silence, only for me to open my eyes and jump back.
Fluorescent bright blue eyes stare back at me.
"Woah..." I mumble. He raises an eyebrow at me.
"Your eyes. They're glowing." I mumbIe. He smiles as he reaches his hand out to me to help me out of the tree. I climb down into his arms and he sets me on the ground slowly, keeping his arms wrapped around me.
"Your turn, cutie." He grins. I kiss him and walk back to the curb.

After a couple of rounds, I'm running and Jon's chasing me. This somehow turned into Tag. I run as fast as I can until I fly through the air and land on my butt.
"Ow." I mutter to myself. Jon walks up to me.
"You okay?" He asks, concerned.
"Yeah, I must've tripped on a branch or some...thing..." I look ahead and see a silhouette. My eyes focus and I realize what I tripped on. I gasp and scoot back. Tedd's body lays there motionless on the ground.
"What's wro-" He meets my gaze. He looks back at me and helps me up, but doesn't let go of my hand. He squeezes it slightly.
"I guess we ended up back by our houses. We should go back to Crystal's." Jon mumbles. I stare at the body.
"I think I wanna go home." I admit, continuing to stare down. I can't keep running away from him. He'll start to think I'm scared or something. And... even if I am scared deep inside, he doesn't need to know.
