Alas otso ng umaga, tatlong oras simula nang pagbangon ng mga tao sa lugar kung saan ako lumaki. Nasa isang overlooking view kami sa Batangas. Maraming puno sa aming paligid, maririnig mo ang paghuni ng mga ibon at ang paminsan-minsang pagsipol ng hangin. Makikita mo ang ganda ng Batangas mula sa aking kinatatayuan. Hay, parang wala pa 'ring pinagbago dito. Ang sarap bumalik-balik kahit pa minsan.

Hindi ko mapigilan ngumiti nang may yumakap sakin mula sa aking likod.

"Good morning.." She greeted me softly, bago niya ako halikan sa pisngi.

"Good morning. How was your sleep?" I asked as she hummed in response.

Nilapag ko ang hawak 'kong kape sa side table para yapakin siya ng mahigpit.

I hear her laugh silently, "why are you extra sweet today?" She looks at me as if I've grown an extra pair of eyes.

"Bakit, bawal ba akong maglambing?" I retaliate, holding my chest in mock offense.

"Ly. The last time na naglambing ka, we had Deanna and Felicia a year later." I ignore the amusement in her voice and let my back face her.

Kunwari nagtatampo 101. "Pero oo nga naman, may point siya.." I muttered to myself.

"May sinasabi ka?" She asks, pero bakas sa boses nito ang pang-aasar.

"Walaaa.." I sang smilingly.

Nauna kaming pumunta rito kaysa sa mga bata dahil may kinakailangan kaming kitain. Mga pinagkakati-walaang mga shareholders ng kumpanya.

"Ly, are you okay? You seem off.." Den caress my arm, looking at me with worry in her eyes.

I hesitate to tell her.. and I shouldn't because she's my spouse and best friend. And we've been through ups and down, like way down rock bottom. Sinubukan 'kong hindi ipahalata sa kanya but who am I kidding?

I sigh, resting my back against the wooden banister. As I stare deep into her lovely blue-like(?) orbs.

"I'm sorry. Kinakabahan lang ako.." I frowned, yumuko ako at piniling titigan ang sahig.

She scoffs, "there's nothing for you to get nervous about." She grabs both my hands and squeezes them in a way reassure me.

"Natatakot lang ako—" She exhales loudly cutting me off in mid-sentence.

"Ly, forget about it.." I was going to retaliate but she gave me a life-threatening look. "For now let's enjoy this moment. Tsaka na natin isipin 'yang kinakatakot mo. Please?"

I sigh deeply, nodding, "okay. Sige. Whatever you say.."

We then shared a comforting smile. I held her hand close to my heart as the two of us faced the beautiful morning view from our treehouse, and hugging each other tightly as we felt the cold breeze kissed our faces.

As of now, baka nga tama siya. It's better to just want to enjoy this moment with her and worry about it later. Bahala na.

An hour before lunch we start to get ready, during lunch time kasi kami magme-meet up sa iilang mga shareholders ng Empire. Tahimik akong naka-upo sa sofa habang nanonood ng tv dahil nauna naman akong naligo. A few minutes later ay lumabas na si Den, her hair's still slightly wet and the glow of her bare face.
