"WHAT did you get?!", evelyn asked harry, still not believing the sight in front of her.
"a firebolt", harry breathlessly said as he examined the wondrous bronze ebony stick with hazel twigs and an ash handle.
"this thing can go at least 150 miles per hour!!", ron exclaimed.
"but who left it for you?", evelyn asked.
"I'm not sure. it didn't say", harry said, still enjoying his christmas present.
"also, I sort of saw you at three broomsticks the other day, how'd you get there??", evelyn whispered, making harry flinch.
"a-ah well, actually fred and george gave me this thing called a marauder's map. it shows the secret passageways and all of hogwarts!", harry excitedly explained.
"I'm their brother and they didn't give me any of the sort! in fact, I don't even think they gave me anything this christmas!", ron complained.
evelyn chuckled.
"they said it was created by moony, wormtail, padfoot, and prongs".
"quite the odd names, don't you think?", evelyn asked, while ron just nodded in agreement.
"well anyways, I used the one-eyed witch passage that led me to the honeydukes cellar", harry finished.
"isn't that just splendid—"
"is that a firebolt I see?", hermione questioned, walking over to the three.
"yeah!! harry got it for christmas. although he doesn't know who—"
"what if it's from sirius black? what if it's fixed??", hermione questioned.
"what?! there's no way!! why would sirius black send harry a firebolt if he's trying to kill him? no offense harry", ron said.
"just think! just because you don't think it would happen, doesn't mean it won't ron!", hermione argued.
"you're overthinking it hermione!", ron retorted, making hermione stomp off.
not a moment later, hermione came back with professor mcgonagall.
"mr. potter, I believe that I'll be confiscating this, as we're not sure if it has been tainted with black magic before", mcgonagall said.
