THE PACK - Yoonminkook

Part 17: lessons learnt

It was later in the day and the pack were all now gathered around the bed (except Taehyung who demanded Jimin time) and it was Namjoon who was the one to start speaking;

"As i'm sure your both aware now, the forest isn't the safest place to be - especially on the nights leading to a full moon.

Just like wolves this forest feeds off of the moon's energy and when the goddess herself loss faith something... darker formed.

It wasn't by her doing, consciously at least, it happened in response to each betrayal from those she loved most.

A curse of sorts.

And while the forest is to protect us it has to work both ways.

It keeps us in and those out.

Only powerful being's such as I, Yoongi, Hoseok and Jungkook and anyone we'd choose to take with us.

The only path being safe is the one to the sacrificial point.

The forest is alive in a way, it responds to that of which it's in touch with.

Energy.

You may be okay to venture out a few time's but the likely hood of you being hurt out their is significantly higher than not, it can even feel like your disoriented as a way to try and trap you.

So this is why we ask of you that you don't go out in the woods, or at the very least not alone.

The path's exist for a reason and that's to keep us and the sacred village safe.

Do you boy's understand why we're telling you this?"

Both Jimin and Taehyung nodded in understanding but Jimin couldn't help but to think of all the time's he'd been out there in the path month, coming back more often than not.

And he must've shown something on his face because in the next minute Jin was adding "Is there something you want to ask Jimin?" to which the younger shook his head in return, really not wanting to make a bigger fool out of himself.

And thankfully the other's let it slide, it wasn't like he could go anywhere any time soon anyways but it didn't mean someone wouldn't pry sooner or later.

But for now it'd do and so everyone got ready to disperse, albeit reluctant, with Taehyung insisting on first 'Jiminie shift' which he was scolded for by Jin who insisted that it made it come across as a chore when any of them would love to spend the interrupted time with the bed bound boy.

And so the other's left to get going with their day, leaving the platonic soul mate's too it and the minute the last person closed the door the words were already falling out of Taehyung's mouth.

"What were you thinking going off like that! Jeez I love you Park Jimin but boy do you know how to make your soul mate scared! How could you just go off like that without telling anyone where you were going, without telling me-"

But before Taehyung could get even deeper into his upset mind set Jimin was pulling him down immediately  reassuring "If I felt like I had to tell anyone it'd be you TaeTae, your my best friend first and fore most. And it's not like it was my first time, I've gone off the path before following flower trails or rabbits, anything really. I just get a bit carried away just like I did today but Instead of coming back when I got bad vibes I kept going."

He took a moment to look regretfully at his leg, flinching at the mangled limb before turning back to the other, ever so gently cupping his face before pressing their fore heads together until they were nose to nose;

"I'm sorry, it was just my bit of fun while everyone had stuff to do."

Taehyung pushed even closer until their noses were slightly squished insisting "You could've spent time with me and Hobi" But Jimin just shook his head pointing out how him being there would slow down operation 'woo a boo' as Taehyung had so skillfully put it one night.

They ended up having a long conversation of back and forth after that how Jimin was always welcome and how Jimin didn't want to have to rely too heavily, how it was okay to and the like...

But in the end the pair were cuddled up as best as they could with Jimin's leg locked into one position and Taehyung whining about heavily Jimin smelt of Jungkook which was were the conversation took an interesting turn.

"Doesn't everything smell of Jungkook though? Jungkook and Yoongi."

"What? No?"

"Oh come on TaeTae this place smells so strongly of them and when your in the same roo it's almost like you can drown in the scents."

"Oh no that's Hoseok, your getting confused-"

"It's not cinnamon it's like nature in the rain."

Taehyung paused for a moment searching his friends face to see if he was lying but when he saw nothing but genuine confusion he said"I think you might've caught a cold when you were outside Jiminie." but Jimin was quick to dismiss that saying"No it was like this before, since we first met actually."

Taehyung licked his lips as he thought about it for a moment but his mind came to a blank so he proposed "I- I'm not sure then how odd. Maybe we should ask Jin hyung about it..."

And just as Jimin was bout to answer, the single word "Maybe-" escaping his lips, strutted in a very bright and smiley interruption who neither could be mad at.

"I'm your hope and here for my quality Jiminie time~"
