Chapter 2

A week had gone by and i had about 2000 followers. But i know it's because of Demi's like and comment. It's been on my mind ever since.

I walked down the hallways at school towards my locker to grab my books for my next class. I closed my locker when i felt two arms wrapping around my waste. "Hey beautiful", i hear Danny say. "Hey", i said smiling. I gave him a quick peck on the lips as he took my hand. We both have history now.

"Good afternoom class", my teacher said with a british accent. He is from England. And he was the nicest teacher of the school. He knows about my struggles and he has helped me a lot with them. Me and Danny sat in de back. "Wanna hang out after school?", he asked smiling. I nodded. "No even better. I'll take you out for dinner." "promise", he added. I smiled. "You don't have to do that Dan", i said. "I know, but i want too." He was the sweetest guy I've ever met, but as i said, i wasn't in love with him.

I got home and i grabbed my diary. "Dear diary,", i began. "Tonight, Danny wants to take me out for dinner. He's so sweet but i just don't know how much longer i can do this.. I'm not in love with him no matter how much i wanna be.. I just really need some time to figure this out.."

I closed my diary and put it away as i dialed Naomi's number. Naomi is my best friend. We've known each other since kindergarten. "Hey girl!", she said as she answered the phone. "Heyy", i said. "What's up?", she asked curious. "Well.. Danny wants to take me out tonight." "Oh no..", she said. She knows about how i feel about our relationship. "I think you really need to tell him the truth. You're lying to him for about 9 months now Jamie." "I know, but he's the sweetes guy ever and i don't want to hurt him.." "I know you don't but it's what's best for both of you", she said calmly. "I guess you're right. I can't keep him on a leash." "Exactly. So make the right decision", she said. "Thanks Naomi. Love you!" "Love you too Jamie." And i hung up. I opened instagram and uploaded a picture saying "I desperately NEED boyfriend advice!! Anyone??" As soon as it was uploaded, i got a bunch of likes. But no actual comments. I put my phone down and took a shower and got ready for tonight.

As i got dressed, i checked my phone. I got a few comments on my recent post. As i read them, one really caught my eye. "You have a boyfriend?? Damn.. too bad." Continued in a next comment. "Dm me tho. Maybe i can help :)" I doubt it for a second but eventually dm'ed the person. "Hey", i typed. I clicked send.

@/Demetriasbooty: "So I'm dating this guy for about 9 months now. But the problem is, I've never been in love with him. I know its better to break up with him but he's so sweet and i don't want to break his heart.."

@/Demiisthebomb: "I see. Yeah i think it's best to break up with him. I mean, you can't keep him on leash."

@/demetriasbooty: "Yeah i know. My best friend told me.. I guess it's what i have to do.. Thanks "

I felt myself blushing.

I decided I'd tell him before we go out.

The doorbell rang and i ran downstairs. My parents were at work so i had the house all to myself. "Hey gorgeous", he said as he walked in. "Hey", i said. "You okay?", he asked concerned. "Yeah but uhm, i think we need to talk.." "Sure, what's up?", he asked sitting down. I sat next to him and began to speak. "Danny, you're a sweet guy." I took a deep breathe. "But i can't do this any longer.." "Do what?", he asked sitting up. "Keeping you on a leash.. The truth is, i never been in love with you. I do like you.. But i don't feel good staying with you. I really don't wanna hurt you. And i do love you, but as a good friend, not my boyfriend.." "I understand.. Thanks for being honest Jamie. I don't know if i can be friends with you because i don't know if i can put my feelings for you away. But I'm willing to try. I don't want you out of my life", he said. I smiled and hugged him tight. "Me neither." "But i still want to take you out. As friends now i guess", he said smiling. See? The sweetest guy ever. "Are you sure?", i said. "110%" We both smiled and walked out.

The night ended pretty fast and Danny dropped me off at home. Giving him a quick hug and getting out of his car. "See you later", he said smiling. "See you later", i smiled back. I opened up the front door and walked in, finding my mom and dad on the couch watching a movie. "Hi mom, hi dad", i said walkin in not ruining the silence. I gave them both a kiss on the cheek and walked to the kitchen. "How was your night with Danny?", my dad asked. "It was fun. But w, well i, decided to be just friends. I didn't feel the same for him.." "Oh I'm sorry honey", my mom said. I grabbed a bottle of water and walked into the living room. "Good night", i said hugging them. "Good night sweetie." I walked upstairs and collapsed on my bed. I opened instagram and immediately noticed a dm, seeing it was the person that had helped me earlier.

I smiled knowing someone really cared.

I got a dm again and opened it.

@/Demiisthebomb: "Glad it went well Hope you two remain friends tho. A break up is never fun."

@/demetriasbooty: "Yeah we will. He was the one coming up with it tho. Not that i don't wanna be friends, i just never really thought about it. He was my first boyfriend, so i didn't really knew what would happen in the end."

@/Demiisthebomb: "Well im glad it all worked out well. But i kinds need your help as well.."

@/Demiisthebomb: "Well, there are two girls. And i kinda like them both. One of them is my best friend but i know she isn't into girls. And i recently met the other and she is so cute and i can't stop thinking about her. But i don't know what to do. I really wanna get to know her better but she doesn't really know the real me.."

@/demetriasbooty: "Just talk to her more. Call her if you wanna hang out. You're a girl right? you know what girls like. And don't worry about it, she'd love to know the real you. Just give it a little time "

I locked my phone and took a sip of water. I went into the bedroom as i got ready for bed.
