Lighting Never Strikes Twice (Depressed! Denki x Shinsou)

Denki POV the next day)

I'm gonna see Shinsou today.

He doesn't know about..

Jirou..

I'm gonna tell him.

I'll probably end up sobbing but oh well.

I'm driving to his house now.

God I'm so nervous..

Alright..I'm at his house.

I walk up to the door and knock.

After a few seconds Aizawa opens the door, it looks like Eri and him had a tea party 'cause he was covered in glitter and had a ton of hair clips in his hair.

"Hello Denki, Shinsou is in his room. Don't be too loud" He says letting me in.

"Thank you" I say heading to his room.

I open his door and see him laying down on his bed looking on his phone.

He looks up and says "Hey Denks come on in".

I close the door and slowly walk over to where he's laying down.

I gently take his phone and set (yeet) it beside him and lay down on top of him. I think he was a little confused at first because I've never done this before but he eventually wraps his arms around me.

"I went to visit Jirou yesterday.." I start off.

"Mhm" He hums.

"And..And.." I say breaking.

I just start sobbing.

I bring my face into the crook of his neck and clench his shirt.

"Hey Hey what happened" He asks rubbing circles into my back.

"Sh-She..She's gone Shin.." I say between sobs.

"W-What?" He asks.

I just cry.

I don't know what to do.

How do I explain that she died?

Shinsou sits up with me in his lap.

He gently grabs my chin and turns my face to look at him.

I don't know why but I just can't bring myself to look at him.

"Kami, please look at me" He says.

I do.

I look at him.

His face is full of concern and confusion and- and just so many different emotions that I can't explain.

"She's dead Hitoshi, she's gone" I say.

"Baby I'm so sorry" He says then kisses me.

"I could've done something I-I know I could've" I say, still crying.

"There'a nothing you could've done, it's all in your head. It is not your fault that she died Kami" Shinsou says while wiping away a tear.

I rest my forehead on his and continue crying.

It goes like that for a couple minutes before I stop crying and get really tired.

I fell asleep.

Shinsou Pov)

Denki finally stopped crying.

A little while after I heard his quiet snores.

I can't wake him up.

But I gotta lay him down.

I slowly but quickly lay him down on my bed and put him under the covers.

I then snuggle up with him and fall asleep myself.
