Tbh, the characters in the first book weren't that hard to write because they were original source material (sans Shuichi, Kaede and Kaito who's surface layer of personality came from the canon game)
I guess one that was kinda hard was Kokichi since the main goal for the book was to be different. I didn't want Kokichi to be this super shy kid and had to think of a way to make him different but different in a likable way. So I made him a bored rich kid, and it worked out well I guess
In WWV3 the hardest character isn't hard because something is wrong with them, it's my writing.
The hardest character is Tsuki. Now I just want to restate, it's not anything to do with her as a character. She is an awesome character who I am glad was added
What makes her hard to write, is how she fits into the book. The book is about conflict and writing. The other three can fit in sometimes especially when a problem occurs, but I find it hard to fit Tsuki into solving said problem.
The other thing is talent. I'm not exactly sure, what a princess or musician can do to help fight someone compared to a tactician and psychologist.
In the end, it's not her that's the problem, it's my inability to find more creative ways to include her. I have fixed this problem with the members of TAMS but I wish I did better with her

The better team. Hmmm. For the fighting attribute of the story, TAMS since they work as a force. For relationship, HRTT only because they've known each other much longer, but then again, TAMS spent more time as a team.
I might have to say TAMS. I love HRTT, but TAMS may be the better team

Well, for this first book
1. It was supposed to be a Saimatsu based book, but then it evolved into a more plot based book
2. There actually was supposed to be a Danganronpa club, but then I thought nah and just let them be a normal group of friends
3. Ryoma was supposed to develop a crush on Kirumi (spoiler alert, he still hasn't)
4. Keebo was originally supposed to stay evil
5. Mariri-Dono would've killed me but Ryoma was supposed to die in chapter 38 and come back as an AI in the post game book
6. The cast would've been hunted by there school for being selected
7. It was gonna be like 15 chapters longer
Okay, WWV3
1. Tori was never supposed to be in the book. (When I told a friend the bases of the story, they said, "what about Tori" and then I thought about it and got the idea for an OC side story)
2. It was supposed to be one book but then the ideas came
3. HRTT unintentionally appeared in the same order their name is formed so with Honey appearing first and Tori appearing last
4. A lot of the new Tori related info that's been revealed in last chapters was made on the spot
5. The v3 cast was gonna awaken one at a time with Kokichi being last
6. Kiibo would've came back as a human
7. It actually got better (seriously, I hate myself and even I can admit it's gotten better)
