Kelsey POV:

Everyone is excited as we make our way to the front of the complex.

I wait up for Gabby to get back as the others go outside.

Bubby walks up to the retinal scanner and leans over to meet eyes with the scanner. It clicks and says,

"ACCESS GRANTED"

The door opens up, and none other than G-Man himself stands on the other side.

"Hi, Dad!"

Tommy says smiling.

Gabby comes back and says,

"I'll miss you, Kelsey"

I smile and respond,

"I'll miss you too, Gabby"

We hug for the last time as we walk out side with the rest of the group.

"Hello, Tommy. Are you and your friends ready?"

Tommy nods and puts on a brave face.

"Very well"

He snaps his fingers, and we were teleported to a room full of high-tech machinery. In the center of the room, there was a platform connected to a computer powered by heavy cables.

"I managed to find an abandoned house in the middle of a town in Arizona. It is quite large, it will satisfy the needs of six people greatly. I have been in contact with a real human to get the house in proper living conditions for you. Treat her with respect. I had her install a machine in the house that is going to bring you there."

He pressed a button and powered on the machine.

"Who wants to go first?"

G-man says, promptly.

Dr. Coomer walks up from behind me and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"I believe Gabrielle should go first!"

She laughs softly.

"Really? I think Tommy should go first"

Tommy looks at her and says,

"No, Gabby! I agree with him!"

She smiles nervously and walks up to the base of the platform.

"Are you ready, Miss Gabrielle?"

G-man said as she stepped up onto the metal plate.

"Yes"

He pressed a button, and a glass wall started to surround the platform, getting higher until it went well above her head.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

I said, looking at Tommy.

He shrugged.

I sat there in anxiety, waiting to see if my friend will survive.

There was a green light hat showed that the machine worked.

"Oh thank god."

Everyone eventually went through and all it left was me.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Miss Pick?"

I nodded.

A camera had popped up on one of the screens.

"Hey everybody!"

I said, seeing all of my friends faces and one new face.

"They will be observing from their end to make sure you make it through safely"

I nod and step onto the platform.

The glass walls had risen, but It didn't feel right.

Nothing happened for a few minutes, but G-man ended up fixing one of the problems.

There was a loud blaring sound, and then the machine started smoking.

"Oh no"

G-man had said, discouraging me greatly.

My attention was taken away from the glass as I could feel my body start to rip apart. Pain was all I could think about at this moment. I tried to scream, but my mouth was already being emancipated into thin air. My vision goes to black as my eyes were torn out of existence.

I could no longer think.

I could no longer move.

My world had completely faded away.

Next thing I knew, I saw red.

Everywhere.

Alarms were blaring, the announcer going off.

"VIRUS DETECTED, VIRUS DETECTED, FIREWALL INITIATE, FIREWALL INITIATE"

The Firewall.

It noticed me.

This was it.

My final breath was released as I was swallowed in a pit of black.
