The New Girl

Chapter 12

Jacks POV

"Man the slopes were crazy!" I said as the guys and I walked off the elevator and into our suite. We had spent all day snowboarding and it was a pretty good start to the week. The girls didnt stay out as long as we did so we dont know where they were.

"Dude I know, I went off those rails like Shawn White," Josh confidently smirked. We all looked at him like he was crazy and rolled our eyes out of sarcasm.

I went back into my room to change into my black adidas sweats and a grey sweatshirt. I came back out into the living room too see the guys in their sweats too.

"So shall we go out and do something tonight or stay in?" Mike asked plopping down on the couch, getting comfortable. I sat down next to him with Josh and Jack sitting on the other couches while Sam made some coffee.

"I say we get all dressed up and shit and go out to dinner or something with the girls," Sam said pouring his drink in a mug. The four of us looked at each other and nodded in agreement.

"Yeah that sounds good, we'll see what the girls want to do. Speaking of which where are they?" Jack J said looking around, finding the room lacking female occupancy.

We all looked around the room not noticing they werent here till now, "Ill text Danielle," I said pulling my phone out of my pockets.

"Ooooo Danielleeee,"Josh cooed at me as I typed on my keyboard. "What about her?" I asked him still not looking up from my phone.

"Dude, you guys have been hanging out for a month, you kiss all the time, you're always together, hell, you're sharing a room for a week! Why dont you just ask her out already?" Josh said.

"Dude I know I know, its just I dont think she's ready yet and I dont want to force her into something she doesnt want. But trust me I want her to be mine, I mean everything about her is just perfect. She's funny, smart, absolutely stunning, she can sing and as a bonus she knows how to snowboard! I just need to wait for the right time but I dont care, she's worth the wait," I said staring at the floor the whole time smiling to myself.

Sam broke the silence by making a whip sound drinking from his coffee. I laughed shaking my head.

"Alright enough of this chick shit, lets play some pool like real men," Sam said walking into the pool room. The four of us stood up and followed him, each grabbing a stick.

Danielles POV

"MMM this hot chocolate is amazing," I said tilting my head back, enjoying the chocolate running down my throat, warming my once cold body.

"Seriously this is amazing," Mallory agreed. After we were done snowboarding the girls and I went to a little cafe in the hotel.

"So have you talked to Jack yet?" Emily asked drinking her hot chocolate. I shook my head no looking down and rubbing the side of my drink.

"Why not? You need too" Chelsea chimed in. "I know I know, I just dont know what to say, 'Hey Jack so I know I told you I didnt want a boyfriend but now I do so lets date' yeah that sounds perfect," I sarcastically said.

Emily pursed her lips together, "Fine then we just have to make it obvious you're ready for him," she said shrugging like it was no big deal. "How?" I questioned.

".....I have no idea," she said slumping in her chair sounding defeated. "But we will figure something out," she said sitting straight up again. The girls all agreed with her and I just smiled along with them.

We finished our drinks and headed back up to the room to see if the guys were back yet. The doors opened and we stepped inside hearing the sound of pool balls cracking against each other and the guys grimacing after.

"Hey we're back!" Laine shouted at them. They just made more shouting sounds, must have been an intense game of pool.

We walked into the pool room and sat down on the couch watching their game. We all watched intently as Jack G lined up the stick to hit the 8 ball in. He practiced a couple times finally hitting it making the ball fly into the left corner pocket. He and Jack J "wooed" and high fived meaning they won against Sam and Josh.

Jack looked over at me and smiled,"Nice job," I said standing up and smirking at him.

"Thank you," he said wrapping his arm around my waist with the pool stick still in his other hand.

"So we were thinking we can all go out to dinner tonight," Sam said racking up all the balls and sticks.

"Yes!" Mallory stood up with excitment. We all chuckled at her enthusiasticness. "Alrighty, lets see," Sam said looking down at his watch,"It's 5:45 so lets go around 7?" we all agreed.

Jacks POV

The guys and I had just finished getting ready. We all wore nice button ups tucked into our dark or tan khakis and of course we all wore vans.

Just then we heard the sound of heels clacking against the floor and Mike mad a whistle sound as we all turned our bodies too see the girls.

Emily was wearing a red dress that also reached her mid thigh, the sleeves were long but were see-through. Her hair was straightened and she wore black heels. Mallory curled her hair and wore a white halter top with jewels on the neck tucked into a black pencil skirt and black heels. Laine had on a black, short flowly dress with 3 inched straps and white heels but she kept her hair natural. Chelsea had on a reddish pinkish dress with the top covering her whole chest and shoulders, a black blazer with matching wedges.

But my eyes couldnt look away from Danielle. My eyes grew and my mouth opened a little, taken aback by how beautiful she looked. She was wearing a white dress that hugged all the right places. The sleeves reached the middle of her forearm and her red heels made her legs look like they went on forever. Her hair was curled and still looked long.

"Wow," was all I could make out as she walked over to me. She looked down blushing. "You look...amazing," I said. "You dont look too bad yourself," she smirked at me. I snagged my hand around her waist smiling down at her.

"Alrighty lets go," Jack J said with Mallory on his arm. They werent together but we all knew they liked each other. Each of the guys had a girl on their arm, Danielle and I, Jack J and Mallory, Sam and Chelsea, Mike and Laine and Josh and Emily.

We made our way down to a restaurant called La Fleur.

"Reservation for Gilinsky," Jack said walking up to the host. He had called earlier while we got ready. The host took us to our table and we all sat down ordering our drinks. Once they arrived we picked them up, "Heres to a great week and amazing memories with the greatest people," Jack G said. We all clinged our glasses together saying "Cheers."

I was really happy to be seating here with great friends. I've never had close friends but with them, I could tell it was different. I'm glad we moved here and met these wonderful people. I wouldnt want it any other way.
