She shook her head. "People need to hear this."

"I will now give the least words to Diana's daughter Becky." Said a friend of Diana who spoke before Becky would.

Becky took a deep breath in and walked to the podium.

"Before i say anything else i want to thank you all for coming it means lot to me and would have meant a lot to mom, thank you."

She paused for a second and looked at her paper.

"-My mom was many things but a good mother was unfortunately not one of them. She left me alone when i needed her and she didn't know her words could hurt others. But that didn't change the fact that i loved her with all my heart and would've give her anything. I don't have much to say except that i forgive her for everything she's done, i won't ever forget it but I'll forgive her."

With that said Becky stepped of the podium and sat down next to me.

I was speechless, she had said the things that nobody had the guts to say. I could tell that she felt relieved by saying that.

Jack had fallen asleep on Luke's shoulder after the funeral ended. Luke went back to the car with the rest while i stayed behind with Becky

Becky stayed quiet while she looked at her mom's grave, she was saying her last goodbye.

"You ready to go home?" I asked softly as i out my hand on her shoulder.

She nodded."Let's go home."

Jack woke up when Luke carried him back inside the house. He immediately started to cry again.

I took him from Luke and led him to his room.

"I want mom." He said trough his tears.

I hugged him and stayed quiet. He didn't need me to response, he needed to let his feelings out.

After a long time Jack finally calmed down. He closed his eyes and appeared to be sleeping.

I sighed relieved and kissed him on his forehead.

I carefully stepped out of his room and closed it behind me.

I went to check on Becky but her room was empty.

"Have you seen Becky?" I asked as Luke passed me in the hallway.

He nodded. "She's outside next to the pool. I think that it's best that you talk to her."

"Thanks, i will." I said to Luke before  i went downstairs.

Becky was sitting on the edge of the pool with her feet in the water.

I walked towards her and slowly sat down next to her.

"How are you feeling?" I said sofly to her.

"I almost joined her." She said looking at the water.

"What do you mean i?" asked confused.

"The night that she died, i almost died." She said as she stared blank infront of her.

"I'm sorry but i don't understand."

She turned her face towards me. "I planned on jumping but your call stopped me."

She didn't need to tell me more. I understood her but i didn't want to.

"What..why?"

She shrugged. "My mom told me it was the best option and i believed her."

A small smile appeared on her face as she continued. "Kinda ironic that she died instead. She basically saved me."

"Why didn't you come to me?" I asked with tears in my eyes.

Her smile faded. "I wasn't thinking clearly. It was as if all my thoughts had been shut off. All but one, jumping off that bridge. I was so tired of everything and i thought that going to a different place was going to solve that."

I was speechless, i had no idea that she felt that bad. I had no idea that her mom was capable of doing that, convincing your own daughter that that is the best way out.

"I'm sorry. Just know that it wasn't your fault." She said after i stayed quiet.

I hugged her as thight as i could. "I don't ever wanna lose you."

"You won't. I'm not planning on leaving."

"How do i know that you won't" I asked her.

"I'll go to therapy and I'll talk to someone whenever i feel like that again."

I nodded. "Please promise me that you will do that."

"I pinky promise."

"I'm sorry for not telling you sooner."

I put my arm around her. "Thank you for telling me right now."

She let her head fall on my shoudler as we both stayed quiet.

After a while she closed her eyed and let herself fall into the pool.

"What are you doing?" I asked her confused.

She simply laughed, grabbed my arm and pulled me in.

"It's freezing."

She shook her head. "It's perfect."
