Jack became extremely annoying after his friend left. Luckily my mom felt good enough to come downstairs for dinner and was able to calm Jack down a bit.

I put the food that i cooked on the table and sat down.

"It looks horrible." Jack said with a disgusted face.

"Jack don't be rude. Your sister can't help that she isn't a chef. Just try to eat your food." My mom said to him with a smile.

I clenched my fist together when she said that. I fucking tried my best and it was still not enough

I turned the tv on after dinner so that Jack would behave when i helped my mom to bed.

My mom didn't really need that much help but i wasn't taking any risks. One time she said that she didn't need any help and then she passed out on the bathroom floor. It was miracle that she didn't hurt herself that day

"Are you comfortable?" I asked once she was laying in bed.

She nodded with a smile. "Goodnight darling, i love you." She said as she closed her eyes.

"I love you too." I said hesitantly back. It felt weird to say that because it felt more like a reflex than something genuine.

I walked back downstairs and joined Jack on the couch.

I had hoped that one the guys would be home early enough to put Jack to bed but that wasn't that case.

I turned the tv off and told him to go upstairs to brush his teeth.

He hesitated but i gave him an angry look, forcing him to listen.

When i walked into his room he was jumping on his bed in his pyjamas.

"Jack I'm not doing this again." I said angry to him.

"Then don't." He said jokingly as he kept jumping.

"Fine."

I walked out of his room and went to mine. I was so fucking done with his behaviour. It wasn't my problem anymore if he went to bed or not. I didn't even care if he would wake my mother up. I couldn't care less.

I had a long day at work and my head was pounding. I was ready to go home and sleep even though it was still pretty early.

When i opened the front door i heard laughing coming from the living room.

I walked towards the sound and saw that Jack was downstairs watching tv.

"Why are you still awake?" I asked him confused.

He giggled. "Cause I'm not tired yet."

I picked him up."Well it's still time for bed."

He gave me a sad face when i put him  down on his bed.

"Why do i have to sleep?" He asked with his arms crossed.

"That way your body can charge up for tomorrow."

He finally gave in and lied down in bed.

I kissed him on his forhead."Goodnight."

I quietly closed his door and went to Becky's room. She was supposed to be in charge of putting Jack to bed.

I entered her room without knocking. She was laying half asleep on her bed.

"Why didn't you put Jack to bed?" I aksed kinda angry.

She looked confused for a brief moment but then remembered it. "I can't force him to sleep. If he isn't tired than there is nothing that i can do about it.

"You can atleast keep him from running around. I don't want to come home tired from work just to see a screaming six year old run around in pyjamas."

"I'm sorry." Was all that she said.

I had expected an more fierce response from her but she gave me nothing. Not even an angry look.

"Is everything okay?" I aksed more calmly.

She turned around and gave me an annoyed look. "Everything's fine. Can you just please leave me alone, i want to go to bed."

I nodded and stood up.

"Are you sure?" I asked before i closed the door behind me.

"No." She said quietly.

I walked back to her bed and sat down next to her. I noticed that her hands were red, she most likely got angry and punched the wall.

"What's wrong?" I asked her as i stroked her hair.

"I don't know."

I could hear that she was close to crying.

I remained quiet, she knew what was wrong but she just needed to feel comfortable enough to tell me.

She shook her head and stood up.

I grabbed her arm and pulled her into my arms.

She immediately started crying.

"I'm sorry that i disappointed you again. I..i just got soo fed up Jack and i can't even sleep because i keep having nightmares. I don't want to think that I'm lazy but I'm just so tired of everything."

"I'm not mad or disappointed. I couldn't be more proud of how strong you have been these last couple of months. " I told her.

She gave me a small smile before burying her face into my chest.

"For how long have you been having nightmares?" I asked softly.

"A few days before school ended."

"What are they about?"

"All sort of things but mostly about my mom dying and sometimes even about my dad or Jack."

I sighed, i felt beyond bad for not noticing these things earlier. "Mabye we all need a break. Why don't we go to the beach or something tomorrow?"

She shrugged "Sure."

She yawned and closed her eyes.

I gave her a goodnight kiss and went downstairs to the guys who had just come home.

"Everything alright?" Michael asked when he saw my tired face as i entered the living room.

I shook my head and sat down next to him. "I put too much pressure on Becky. The poor kid is exhausted and she didn't want to tell us because she thought that it was her fault."

"We all put too much pressure on her." Luke answered with a sad face.

Michael and Calum nodded in agreement.

"We gotta think about how we can change that. Now that she doesn't have school anymore all she has is her sick mother and little brother who isn't really a big help. She needs to have a distraction like we have are work to take our mind of things."

"I can stay home in the morning to take care of Diana. " Michael offered.

I gave him an grateful smile.

We all compared our work schedules to see when we could be home. It was quite a puzzle but eventually we figured it out. Becky would only be home alone in the afternoon on most days. I don't know why we never did this earlier.
