Poems about relationships using the metaphor of colours. You can switch he with she vice versa. I might have messed some up along the way. I literally just copy and pasted my drafts haha.

Red

She was so brilliantly red,

The red of my life.

She was the only red I see.

The only blood I had.

Orange

She was more than orange,

More than a spark in the flames.

She was the sun in my life.

She was the one to cure my blindness.

Yellow

I regret not looking out at night.

To the yellow stars that shine so bright.

Because now that she left,

I don't see anything at all.

I regret not looking out at night.

To the yellow stars that shine so bright.

Because now that he's gone,

I see nothing at all.

Green

My home was green when she came back home.

My home cries and sleeps now,

When all the green left and never came back.

Green 2

Your eyes were the green,

That Mother Nature envied.

They reminded me of home,

Of whispered songs of love.

Blue

She was the only one I'd gladly drown in.

The only blue sea I'd sink in.

The only blue sky I'd look at.

The only blue I'd ever feel.

He was the only blue I'd gladly drown in.

The only blue sky I'd wish for.

The only blue I'd get drunk on.

The only blue I'd ever feel.

Indigo

I never saw indigo.

I never heard indigo.

I never felt indigo.

Until she coloured me in indigo.

I never saw indigo.

I never heard indigo.

I never felt indigo.

Until he coloured me in indigo.

Violet

She was a vivid violet.

Before she became too bright for me to see.

Before I shed away in cowardice.

He was a vivid violet.

Before he became too bright.

He blinded me bitterly.

With me as his victory.

As I struggled against his bite.

Black

I never loved black more than I loved him.

But I do now.

Because at least you can see black.

White

She was my white.

She was my everything.

She gave me colours.

And made me feel all that white could feel.

So that I could scream in white.

Grey

Even grey can't decide if he wants to live or not.

Even grey can't decide,

Between black and white.

Between love and hate.

Between you and me.

Between whatever that's left.

Rainbow

She taught me that colours were not

Meant to be seen,

But felt by the heart.

So I told her that she was my rainbow.

Until I couldn't see anymore,

And drowned in rainbows.

Then she left and I cried,

My rainbow coloured tears.
