In the spring of 1692, more than 150 men, women, and children were accused of being possessed by the Devil and of performing witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts. Over time, a wave of hysteria spread throughout the state, leading to a special court hearing to listen to the cases. The first convicted witch, Bridget Bishop, was hanged in June, and many more followed at Salem's Gallows Hill.
It wasn't until January 1697, that the Massachusetts General Court ordered a day for fasting for the horrendous events of the Salem witch trials; later considering the trials unlawful and compensated the families of those convicted. However, the damage that was done, continued to boil among the villagers for many more years to come.
This is a fictitious story loosely based on the tragedy of the Salem Witch Trials, when over a century later, a real estate agent travels unknowingly through the still socially tense Salem Village in hopes of returning home to his beloved fiancé. Everything is smooth sailing, until one abnormal stop leads him into the hands of an individual's revenge that is long past overdue.
