Marching, Soldiers cross enemy lines
Badge of authority stained by lies
Floors made of eggshells force toes to tip by
Fear of all the stupid rules we must abide
Politics wear their dicks on their sleeves
Fucking "we the people" with revelry
While sinners pray for their toxic remedy
Saints preach of all the stupid rules of an absent deity
Be it the dreams of death or dulcinea
whispers of both, thoughts of sweet amnesia
infections spread through ideas
Mouths of others force feed diarrea
The World I see, a feculent pool
Money forces we sordid swines to duel
This is life, power given to close-minded fools
Of all the stupid rules

Rhyme and Reason: A poet's favorite season
